MTV, Jersey Shore Cast to Host Live Fundraiser for the Storm-Ravaged Jersey Shore

Jersey Shore Season 6 CastGym, Tan… Philanthropy? MTV has announced that on Nov. 15, it will broadcast Restore the Shore, an hour-long special that will raise funds for the rebuilding of Seaside Heights aka the heart of both the Jersey Shore and the network’s infamous Jersey Shore, in the wake of the damage sustained last week by Hurricane Sandy.

Airing live from MTV’s Times Square that night starting at 11 pm EST (and on a tape delay for PST viewers), Restore the Shore will feature the cast of Jersey Shore along with other special guest appearances to be announced.

MTV is partnering with the non-profit org Architecture for Humanity for this effort, which will be primarily directed toward the rebuilding of the famed Seaside Heights boardwalk, as well as support the re-building efforts of businesses and residents in the community.

  • I feel like the cast is using this tragedy as a way to stay relevant in the news. It’s exploitative on their part. I doubt they actually care about the victims of the storm at all, and only have their own careers on their minds. But regardless, I hope a ton of funds are raised to help those who need help right now.

  • 1) the cast of this show was the intended target of sandy
    2) snooki is still mad cuz she thought she was the one doing to most damage to jersey for years now
    3) gym: submerged. tan: impossible due to weather conditions. laundry: walked outside, all my whites are clean
    4) the producers have to convince the cast that this is really a hot tub orgy to get them to show up.

  • I hope the Jersey Shore Trash will be onsite when the Nor’Easter hits and that God will take care of this garbage.
