Exclusive 90210 First Look: Liam's Inner Diva Takes Over During a Trip With the Guys

The men of 90210 are headed into the wilderness this Monday (The CW, 8/7c), and we’ve got your exclusive first look at what roughing it really looks like for newly dubbed “celeb,” Liam Court.

While Navid and Dixon are more than happy to embrace their manly side during a guys-only camping trip, Liam is less than thrilled. In fact, he’s so turned off by the whole experience, he tries to call “his people” for resources to make the experience more comfortable. (Don’t worry, his buds totally call him on his diva-tude.)

Am I the only one who thinks this is completely out of character for Liam? He’s always been the outdoors, roughing it kind of guy.

    • Phil says:

You’re not the only. In season 1, he was the tough guy who used to skip classes, wear leather jackets and go on street races punching everyone. Now, he’s Naomi-like. The writers don’t know how to write 90210 anymore. Bring back the writers from the first season! Even the lady who ran the show through the second and third seasons was better.

      • april-ann says:

I agree. Why the about-face for Liam? He was the street-tough. Dixon was always the whining high maintenance diva. Any chance Navid and Liam could just lose him in the woods?

        • zoe says:

Dixon was never the whiney high maintenance anything. S1 Dixon was a lacrosse player who dated an emo girl, S2 surfer who kept the boys together, started dating the tomboy girl after failed cougar attempt. His bestfriend was whining about 2 girls, Naomi and Annie in S2 and S3. Navid has always been the high maintenance insecure guy since S1. Anyone who watched all 4 seasons knows he’s been that way. Dixon goes with whatever and adapts. And last I checked to keep things honest the one we want lost in the woods or just lost period is Navid.

          • april-ann says:

He treated Silver like absolute cr*p in S1. Later he lied to Ivy that he wanted Sasha back just so he wouldn’t have to man up and tell her the truth. Ivy believed him (oh gee, her bad). Heartbroken, she turned to Oscar. Apparently, according to little divaDix, Ivy was supposed to have been able to read minds and find out that way that he had lied to her, or just live celibate for the rest of her life because he had dumped her for an ex-girlfriend. I thought he had some nerve acting like the offended party in that cute little game he created. I stand by my feelings on Dixon.

      • Dee says:

        You said it all!

    • Maria Flor de Luna says:

Based on the conversation he had with Dixon and navid, it looks like Liam’s celebrity status is getting into his head.

Not exactly an out-of-character moment but he tries to be comfortable to his found fame from last season. By the looks of it, he is comfortable now but at the expense of who he was before.

  2. Brandy says:

This is not like Liam.Maybe the covering up the Vanessa thiing & the fire at the Offshore is getting to him?ILiam was better season one, the last couple seasons, the writers haven’t seemed to know what to do with him or write good/interesting sl for him.

    • Zoe says:

That’s the last time I saw a tough Liam too. He died in the finale for S1. Because he never was badass with Annie other than the times he made fun of her while he dated Naomi.

  3. Zoe says:

april-ann and how did that make him whiney? Ivy slept w/ Oscar before they got back together, she could have told him instead lied and then acted weird about it and she was the one who was drifting away from him. Ivy sleeps just mins after breakup w/ someone she wanted to sleep with, Dixon’s fault. Are you kidding me about Silver? she runs off kisses Ethan, Dixon’s fault? If I actually take a clear look the only time I saw Dixon whining about a girl was when Silver gave him that stupid box in S2 and made a porn tape in S1.

  4. Carly says:

Liam was only good when he was with Annie. Season one their banter was the best. Bring back those times and that couple, because everything that is happening now to his character makes him look pathetic.

    • Chelsea says:

I agree. Lannie needs to get back together before Liam is ruined completely!

    • val says:

Liam did nothing with Annie. He got boring with Annie. Lannie fans keep saying that was the best Liam, it wasn’t. When he was with Naomi was the best Liam. Annie killed him because we all stopped caring about Liam after he broke up with her.

      • Amz says:

I totally agree! I’ve been wanting Naomi and Liam to get back ever since they broke up! Bring back the old Liam!

      • Sami says:

Exactly. Even though the whole Liam/Jen/Naomi thing got severely annoying during season 2, he still had character (punching Jen’s window and almost killing Jasper was a plus). Anyways, I just don’t understand the appeal of Lannie, and I feel like Liam’s character slowly deteriorated during season 3 and was set on fire in season 4.

        • Amz says:

I know right?! I always found Annie an boring and complaining drama queen. Liam was the hot bad boy and up until the moment he broke up with Naomi, he still had a little spark! I’ve never understood by Lannie’s been so popular…and don’t even get me started on Silver&Liam, or Vanessa&Liam. Plus, don’t you think Naomi’s not as fun as when she was with Liam?

      • Ella says:

WORD. Seriously. Liam was never as interesting, hot or fleshed-out as he was with Naomi. I have no idea why the writers chose to take him down the Annie part, it was his road to absolute character destruction.

        • Amz says:

Exactly! He was bad enough with Annie, but he’s already been experiencing character destruction thanks to the writers idea of making him a broke ‘actor’ and trying to get him in the Navid and Silver triangle!

  5. Celeste says:

How is this show still on the air?! Every plotline is far-fetched or just completely stupid.

  6. Sami says:

Are the writers serious? I could’ve sworn that Liam was sent to wilderness camp at the end of season one, so why would he be a diva about camping now? I can’t with this show.

  7. Ella says:

Liam is basically a joke now. Not only is he a completely different character from the guy we knew and loved in seasons 1 and 2, he’s also a stupid moron with absolutely no balls or scruples. Seriously, if they ever decided to get some of their glory back and revisit great pairings like Liam/Naomi and Teddy/Silver, I feel like this is the only thing that would save the characters and the show.

  8. hxt98 says:

I’m so tired of this Lannie vs Liomi thing. I never found his (Liam) character interesting at all. -_-

  9. Tamara says:

i wish that liam and annie would get back together they were awesome and i love this show so much i hope they really really do i am so addicted to this show
