Ratings: CBS' New, Jersey-Free Line-Up Boosts CSI: NY and Blue Bloods; Shark Tank Tops Night

Having dismissed the freshman legal drama from its slate, CBS this Friday averaged 10 percent more viewers and a 30 recent better demo rating.

An NCIS repeat led things off with 7.6 million total viewers and a 1.2 rating, easily winning its time slot in total audience. Returning to the 9 o’clock perch, CSI: NY rose 12 and 17 percent to 9.4 mil/1.4, outdrawing all rivals in total viewers. Blue Bloods closed the night with 10.5 mil/1.4, rising 7 and 17 percent with a stronger lead-in.

All told, Blue Bloods was Friday’s most watched program, while ABC’s Shark Tank (steady at 6.4 mil/1.8) drew the best demo rating.

Elsewhere:

* The CW’s encore airings of Arrow and Beauty and the Beast added 2 million and 1.4 million to their respective premiere week audiences.

* Facing slightly stronger competition, Fringe (2.7 mil/1.0) shed a handful of viewers but was steady in the demo, while Grimm (5 mil/1.5) slipped 6 percent.
