Fall TV Preview

New Girl Season 2: Carla Gugino to Play Schmidt's S&M-Minded Boss!

New Girl Season 2Schmidt’s nether regions are getting ready to make up for lost time.

The ever-smoldering Carla Gugino will join Fox’s New Girl for three episodes in its upcoming Season 2, EW.com reports.

She’ll play Schmidt’s boss, Emma, who’s a lady on the streets and a freak between the sheets. But Max Greenfield’s great romancer may want to pace himself — you’ll recall that his love life has been in a time-out while he’s had to wear a penis cast (which will be removed in the season premiere).

Schmidt will sign a contract that binds him to Emma, the site reports, and they’ll have a relationship reminiscent of Fifty Shades of Grey.

  • First Ciaran Hinds in “Game of Thrones”, now Carla Gugino in “New Girl” and then there’s Sigourney Weaver in “Avatar” sequels. It’s official, “Political Animals” got canceled. I’m very sad about that.

    • What? Political Animals doesn’t run all year long. These are all short stints. If someone signed on as a series regular for a 22-episode per season network show, that’s when I’d start to worry.

  • Wasn’t she in Troop Beverly Hills? Best. Cheesy Shelly Long. Movie. Ever.

  • Carla G is terrific – I read that recent work-resume and started to laugh – wow, from one great show to the next – Entourage, Californication, PolyAnimals, New Girl. What a resume – keep up the good work Carla! Who knows, maybe a guest spot on American Horror Story or Mad Men or Homeland is on the horizon?

  • Any movie or TV show is instantly upped a notch or two by the presence of Carla Gugino; even if said project doesn’t rise to her estimable gifts, she’s still world-class throughout. Love her.

  • She really is quite stunning. She is actually a good actress as well. Unfortunately, talent doesn’t always come with looks. She seems to have both in abundance.

  • I really hope this doesn’t mean that Political Animals was cancelled, it was so good and she was great in it
