What to Watch Thursday: Rookie Blue Wraps, the Video Music Awards, Glee Re-Graduates and More

On TV this Thursday: Rookie Blue sends another season to the slammer, Project Runway takes it to the streets, a Glee-peat primes you for the Season 4 premiere and MTV passes out many Moonmen. Here are seven programs to keep on your radar tonight.

8 pm 2012 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV) | Comedian Kevin Hart – Modern Family fans will recognize him as the friend who convinced Phil to buy a two-seater – hosts the live, annual festival of fabulousness. Nicki Minaj, Frank Ocean, Pink, Rihanna and Taylor Swift are slated to perform.

9 pm Rookie Blue (ABC) | Season 3 finale: During a hospital visit, a violent pedophile escapes and abducts a girl. Andy must make a big-time decision and Chris ponders a transfer. The rookies definitely will be back – ABC renewed the series earlier this year.

9 pm Glee (Fox) Finchel’s farewell! Burt’s “Single Ladies” dance! There’s plenty to enjoy in this graduation-themed Repeat to Revisit – the Season 3 finale – which shows just how far the New Directions kids have come since the pilot and where they’re headed in Season 4 (which debuts a week from tonight in its new time slot).

9 pm Project Runway (Lifetime) | The designers sell handmade goods on the street – and the money they earn is the amount they’ll have to spend on fabric for a fall-look challenge. No pressure! The sartorially savvy Anna Sui guest-judges.

9 pm The Next (The CW) | While in Chicago, the mentors work with their local contestants. Just because it sounds kinda awkward, I’m looking forward to the scene in which Joe Jonas learns about women’s shoes from his contestant, Julian.

10 pm The Real L Word (Showtime) | Season 3 comes to a close with Whitney and Sara prepping for their wedding, Romi and Dusty getting closer and Lauren testing her relationship with Kiyomi.

10 pm Sullivan & Son (TBS) | Steve’s grifter aunt (played by Reno 911‘s Kerri Kenney) arrives in town, and Susan confronts Ok Cha about her critical nature.

  • I will never watch the Glee finale again, it was so rage inducing on so many levels. I hope the Season opener is better.

    • I was impressive how they managed to mess up what should have been an easy success, but then, that’s “Glee” for you.

  • Rookie Blue and The Real L Word! Lauren and Kiyomi, sooo hotttt, and while, unfortunately, Whitney is not marrying me, I’m excited for her and Sara’s big wedding. Sick of Romi, I miss Kelsey. Has TRLW been renewed?

  • Wow, there is nothing worth watching tonight. I guess I’ll have to watch the Buffy-thon currently recording at home.

  • The only reason I started watching Rookie Blue again this season was because of Sam and Andy finally being together. If it doesn’t end the way I’m wanting it to tonight, I may not be back for season 4.

  • It must suck if you are just finding out who Kevin Hart is. Especially if you only recognize him from Modern Family. People might want to expand/examine the color palette of their entertainment. He is one of the hot stand-up comedians of the past 5 years. Along the lines of Mike Epps and Katt Williams (when Katt was sane). If you like Louie, than you might not like Kevin. Kevin actually makes you laugh.
