Ratings: DNC Opens on Par With RNC, Breaking Bad's Big Finale, Strahan's Strong Live Debut

It was business as usual this Tuesday, with America’s Got Talent dominating regularly scheduled programming in total viewers (albeit dipping 10 percent to 8.6 million, according to fast overnights subject to change).

The penultimate episode of Fox’s MasterChef, though, scored the demo win, holding steady week-to-week at 6.5 mil/2.7. Hell’s Kitchen matched its Monday-night numbers (6.1 mil/2.5). Both shows finale next Monday.

Elsewhere on Tuesday: Prelim numbers indicate that the broadcast networks’ coverage, at least, of the Democratic National Convention: Night 1 was on par with last week’s opening of the RNC, though the former seemed to grab a few extra eyeballs and a sliiiightly better 18-49 number. Check back later for finals. Unless I get busy.
