Per EW.com, which first reported the news, this version of DC Comics’ Huntress goes by the alias Helena Bertinelli and is the daughter of a crime boss. Like Arrow, she’s out to right some wrongs, hellbent to avenge her family’s murder. Her quest to destroy her father’s empire will put her on a collision course with the Emerald Archer.

The Huntress will make her debut around Episode 6.

Arrow premieres Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 8/7c, leading into Supernatural.

  • With 300+million people in the U.S., why are we inundated with Aussie, Brit and Canadian actors on American shows? Why can’t they make a living in their own patch?

    • Because a lot of the times their just better actors. They also seem to not to fall into the traps almost all the young US actors fall into with the party’s and drugs.

    • Arrow is being filmed in Canada so they will more then likely cast actors and actresses who live in Canada, which many Aussie Actors and Actresses do.

    • Its not our fault we do it better :P.
      .
But realistically, most American tv is filmed in Canada because its cheaper. The flip side agreement to it being cheaper is that studios give work to Canadian talent (both on screen and off).

    • Because most of these shows aren’t shot in the US, and it’s cheaper to use local talent.

    • because they are the best for the job, and there are far more productions ongoing in america than austrailia and britain combined. honestly this is a stupid comment

  • Man, I hope that she and Laurel strike up a friendship of sorts.

  • Huntress is usually interesting because she’s more violent and uncompromising than other heroes. It seems like they’ve already taken Green Arrow to that dark place, so I wonder what they’ll do to set the two of them apart.

  • Can we really still call him the Emerald Archer? Shouldn’t he just be the Archer now?

Anyway, Huntress is cool. Looks like the whole Birds of Prey gang is coming together. All we need now is Oracle.

    • While I’d love Oracle to appear……somehow….I doubt DC Comics would let them do that, considering the character being presented in the Comic Books is very…. active.

  • I didn’t sign for this , I want a GREEN ARROW show , not batman or some form of Birds of Prey, that show sunk a long time ago, really sank deep. Where the the real (Green) Arrow characters anyway. Hope these non Arrow mythos characters aren’t sticking around for too long.

  • She sounds awesome; much more interesting than Arrow. Can we have a Huntress show? I love badass women dishing out the vigilante justice.

    • Actually we did: She was on the short-lived WB show “Birds of Prey”. However it was the Earth-2 Version – Helena Wayne (Daughter Of Bruce Wayne & Selina Kyle!)

      • Thank you for clearing that up..I am not a huge comic fan, so the only Huntress character I knew ofwas the one from Birds of Prey..
