Exclusive: Saturday Night Live Alum Jenny Slate Has Chance Encounter on Raising Hope

Jenny Slate Raising HopeThe Chance household is getting a visit from Saturday Night Live grad Jenny Slate.

Raising Hope has tapped the actress-slash-comedienne to play a social worker named Joan who checks in on little Hope’s living conditions, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Slate, who left SNL in 2010 after one memorable season (R.I.P. Tina-Tina Chaneuse), is set to appear in at least two episodes of the Fox comedy’s upcoming third season (premiering Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 8/7c).

Previously announced Raising Hope guest stars this season include Melanie Griffith, Tippi Hedren and Wilmer Valderrama.

  • I kind of wish Fox would wait until after the World Series to premiere their shows. I know that would put them back into very late October/early November, but I hate that the shows premiere and then we don’t really see them for a month.
