Who Is TV's Ultimate Mean Girl? Let the Nominating Process Begin!

There’s a name for you, ladies. But it isn’t used in high society…outside of a kennel.” We all know and love that zinger from the 1939 classic The Women — or at least we should! — and it will certainly apply to the participants of TVLine’s next great bracket tournament.

Yes folks, get ready for TV’s Ultimate Mean Girl, a single-elimination tourney that will celebrate the small screen’s all-time greatest she-devils, harpies, vixens, harridans, and “rhymes with the English-language equivalent of brujas.” The tournament obviously would be invalid without the likes of Revenge‘s Victoria Grayson, Melrose Place‘s Amanda Woodward, and Ugly Betty‘s Wilhelmina Slater, but we need a total of 64 delectable ladies to channel our inner Tim Gunns and make it work. And that’s where you come in.

Head on down to the comments section and nominate your favorite TV mean girls — we welcome characters from classic TV series all the way through to current hits — and give us a few reasons why these battle axes shouldn’t be left out of our tournament. We’ll then scour your list of nominees and your well-reasoned arguments to select our full roster of 64.

So start your nominating below, and for up-to-the-minute alerts on when TV’s Ultimate Mean Girls will begin, sign up to follow me on Twitter @MichaelSlezakTV!

  • Cordelia (Buffy) really is a good choice, but I have to say I would never nominate Faith (Buffy and Angel) cause she was never really mean, just lonely and missunderstood. Regina from OUAT is great too and also the one and only Siobhan Martin who kicked ass on Ringer. <3

  • I vote for Siobhan Martin from the recently canceled tv show “Ringer”. I vote for her because she is an ice queen, who only think of her self. Furthermore is she so determinated to make her big plan work, that she accidentally gets her best friend (this friend’s husband is she having an affair with, along with one other at the same time) shot and killed. All this because she will steel her husband’s money and start a new life with out him.

  • I agree with Siobhan from Ringer- she tried to orchestrate the death of her twin sister!! And Cordy and Regina. I would like to throw in Lauren Tanner from Make It or Break It. She moved the springboard and almost caused a fellow gymnast to break her back, got their coach fired by leaking a pic that she knew was actually innocents, slept with her best friends boyfriend, and many other things.

Comment by Bonnie Miller – August 15, 2012 09:16 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Siohban Martin from RINGER deserves a spot.

She cheats on her husband w/her best friend’s husband and gets pregnant. She fakes her own death b/c she knows her twin sister, Bridget will take her place b/c she’s in trouble. Then she hires a guy to get her sister killed and ends up getting her best friend killed instead. She runs off to France after faking her death and meets a guy & tells him shes pregnant with his baby after sleeping w/him. I could go on about the awful things she does…

    • Okay, forgot the arguments… Santana, Sue and C.C. are kinda obvious, though. Classic mean girls who need no introduction.

Sherry Palmer: She weaseled her way through two seasons, was in cahoots with a hacker (Alex Hewitt) and actually managed to bully a guy to death (Alan Milliken).

Nina Meyers: Slept with Jack, got dumped and then slept with Tony. Committed treason, killed Jack’s wife, slit a man’s throat with a gift card, wanted to get pardoned for killing Jack whilst holding him at gunpoint and was involved in the Cordilla virus deal. And to top it off, she remotely set off a computer virus at CTU and (I’m still convinced of that) made Tony’s neck bleed with evil telepathic powers before trying to escape and shooting a bunch of guards.

Jill Roberts: Similar background as Nina. Dumped Chuck, slept with Bryce. Years later, they reconcile and she breaks his heart all over again when she was found out to be a Fulcrum spy.
