Ratings: The Bachelorette: Men Tell All Is Up But Down, Ninja Warrior Leaps

Get More: News, Ratings

ABC’s The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All special this cycle drew 7.1 million total viewers and a 2.1 demo rating — down double digits from last week’s regular episode, as is tradition*, but up 27 and 29 percent from last summer’s MTA.

*Someone illuminate me: Why do fans tune out for a week when the guys come back to tell all? Seems to me if you’re in for a penny, you’re in for a pound.

Also on the upside this Monday was NBC’s American Ninja Warrior, rising 12 and 21 percent to 4.46 million total viewers and a 1.7 rating. Leading into that, Fear Factor (4.2 mil/1.5) was up a few percentage points itself.

Elsewhere:

• Both Hell’s Kitchen (6.2 mil/2.6) and MasterChef (6.3 mil/2.6) rose a few percentage points week-to-week and shared the nightly demo win.

• ABC’s Glass House held steady at 2.8 mil/1.0, trailing a Hawaii Five-0 rerun but edging out a Grimm repeat.

• The CW’s special on Batmobiles (1.04 mil/0.4) did double the numbers of last Monday’s Breaking Pointe finale encore. Holy zero ramifications, Batman!

    • Sure. Per the fellas at TVByTheNumbers, LEVERAGE did 3.39 million total viewers and a 0.8 rating. (Last summer’s premiere: 3.42/1.0.)

  • Concerning MTA…..it’s pretty much like the episode of Survivor that they play when there’s a holiday week. A bunch of clips we’ve already seen plus some extra fluff. The bloopers are entertaining but they last a few minutes. Everything else is retread — even with live bodies. The jerks are mostly jerks, the nice guys are still nice. There are people there that you truly can’t even remember and others that say not a word.
