House of Lies @ Comic-Con: Ben Schwartz on Musical Dreams, His Parks and Rec Future

Showtime’s House of Lies will spend more time mining its characters home lives in Season 2, and that’s good news for cast members Ben Schwartz and Josh Lawson. The latter actor, in fact, has already cooked up a wacky backstory for his math whiz Doug Guggenheim, he revealed during a visit to TVLine’s Comic-Con interview suite.

Schwartz, meanwhile, talked about his pitch for a musical episode, as well as his work on other comedies like Bob’s Burgers and Parks and Recreation. He also answered the burning question about whether or not he’ll return as Jean-Ralphio when NBC’s acclaimed Thursday sitcom returns for its fifth season.

Oh, and don’t miss the “tense” moment when Schwartz and Lawson almost pulled the plug on the entire interview!

    “As long as there’s a Parks & Recreation, there’s a Jean-Ralphio.”
