ABC Moves Bachelorette Finale to New Night, Adds Live After the Final Rose Special

Monday night, The Bachelorette finale has no rose for you.

ABC has moved the reality dating show’s season ender from its regular Monday timeslot to Sunday, July 22 at 8/7c, EW.com reports.

The moment of truth will be followed by an After the Final Rose special at 10 pm, which will be broadcast live for the first time in seven years.

The scheduling change pits The Bachelorette against the series premiere of 3, CBS’ new dating show about three single gals united in their quest to find love. As EW suggests, the move is likely payback for CBS’ legal actions regarding ABC’s The Glass House, which CBS claims is far too similar to its Big Brother for comfort.

so this is why we haven’t seen any footage of the finale rose AND why it’s been so hard to sort out the ending! Hmmm. I still think she picks Jef,

Here’s a great idea for a new competitive reality show that’s sure to be a HIT: Watching executives of broadcast networks go head to head in heated competition against one another. Further details to come…

I’m disappointed that the finale was moved to Sunday. I work weekends and after watching all season on Monday nights I was looking forward to seeing the finale only to find out that I will be missing the finale due network changes. If I had known in advance I wouldn’t have invested my time in watching the show that I wouldn’t see the live ending to. Granted I will be able to watch the play back OnDemand but unfortunately it won’t be as enjoyable knowing the outcome via internet without actually seeing it.
