What to Watch Thursday: Inspirational Duets, Two New Dating Shows, Tron Uprises and More

On TV this Thursday, you have your Choice of not one but deux dating shows, Erica Durance plays doctor, Kathy brings on two bad girls and more. Here are 10 shows to keep on your radar.

8 pm Take Me Out (Fox) | In this new George Lopez-hosted dating show, “30 lucky women search for their perfect summer fling.” AKA aspirational TV at its finest.

8 pm Duets (ABC) | Meanwhile, inspirational is the Week 3 theme here, so I had better get my “Islands in the Stream.”

8:30 pm Parks and Recreation (NBC) | A Repeat to Revisit: Leslie and Ron take rival scouting troops on a retreat.

9 pm Saving Hope (NBC) | Erica Durance (Smallville) plays doctor, while Michael Shanks (Stargate SG-1) is her comatose hubby who nonetheless still walks the halls. Read preview!

9 pm The Choice (Fox) | Think The Voice, but with celebs (or “celebs”) spinning around in a chair after choosing a date sight-unseen. Cat Deeley hosts; watch a video sneak peek here.

9 pm Tron: Uprising (Disney XD) | Set in a time between the original Tron film and Tron: Legacy, this animated series follows the heroic journey of Beck, a young program who becomes the unlikely leader of a revolution inside the computer world of The Grid. Once Upon a Time bosses Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz serve as consulting producers.

9 pm The Vampire Diaries (The CW) | A Repeat to Revisit: Meet fan fave Rebekah for the first time all over again in “The End of the Affair,” a standout installment set in 1920s Chicago.

10 pm Kathy (Bravo) | Chelsea Handler and Whitney Cummings are Kathy Griffin’s guests. Holy bleep.

  • I saw the preview episode of Tron, and I’m cautiously optimistic. I thought I was going to watch simply to encourage a 3rd Tron movie. I may actually watch because I enjoy it.

  • I liked Tron: Uprising, but I think it’s going to take me some time to get used to that animation. The Games looked amazing. The people look a little weird.
