seems every year tv gets worse. Bring back family shows. spend some money on quality shows and shelve all these cheap reality shows. Remember how high ratimgs were back on the days cosby ruled thurs nights?

I agree. Take some of the “reality shows” off and bring back entertainment. Thank goodness there are other cable stations that don’t show reality TV. ABC your line up of new shows stinks.

I understand completely the point you are making. Reality shows do not promote family standards, in fact it implies to the young that you can become famous by saying or doing outrageous things. I believe shows of that nature does not entertain, but adds to the decline of family standards and the morality of our young.

I must defend ABC, because they have a few great shows on, and they are the only network with a decent Sunday lineup. CW & Fox by far have the worst lineup.
Monday, Revenge, 666 (weird but interesting. makes you want to see what’s next),
Tues, DWTS (good when nothing else good on),
Thur, Scandal (getting kinda boring),
Fri, Shark Tank, WWYD & 20/20.Each Network has at least 2-3 good shows a week.

CBS: Criminal Minds & CSI (love Ted Danson), & Elementary
NBC: The New Normal, Hawaii 50, The Mentalist, CSI: NY, and 48hrs Mystery, Chicago Fire, and Dateline NBC

as much as i don’t care for or about reality television in the modern age where people are watching programming through an increasing number of alternative channels, I think shows like that, that are cheap to produce and bring in a lot of ad revenue, are necessary for the networks to be able to afford some of the higher concept dramas. I see a ton of promising shows on the schedule amongst my returning favorites.

why unforgettable and CSI Miami cancelled? Unforgettable was refreshing and different. It sure was a whole lot better than the reality junk. That was a poor way to end CSI Miami. That show has been a part of many lives for almost 10 years and we get what for our loyalty? Nothing. Just great! There are many people still trying to figure out why Miami was cancelled. Couldn’t you have done one show to tie up loose ends and have the parting like saying goodbye to the cast? Would that have been so hard to do? I am really disappointed. Maybe I won’t watch CBS anymore. Fair is fair. What assume.

Want a ballsy project? Bring back a really good variety show which showcases the best comedy and a variety of music performers. Perhaps in primetime?? Our family really enjoyed shows like Ed Sullivan and Hollywood Palace. There was no foul language or sexual overtones. The performers inspired creativity and brought much enjoyment to our generation.

Friday’s at 9 totally vindicates my TiVo XL4! Fringe, Grimm, Nikita: gotcha all. Monday’s at 10 would have been another but H5O and I parted ways a while ago… multi-tuner dvr’s are THE way to avoid the broadcast schedulers from messing with you, IMHO.

Why can’t this line up be printed. It won’t do me any good to stay on my computer. I need a copy of it. How can I get one?
Comment by Barbara Kimbro September 23, 2012 03:01 PM PDT-
Right click and print.

Right click on the image, click “copy image” and open up a word processor such as Word, click “paste” and then you can print it from there. I did that and it worked just fine and I have a good color copy of the schedule. Good luck

I agree with Debbie! What happened to quality programming that didn’t rely on sex, drugs, and violence? I work with young kids and teens, and they’re growing up to think this is what life is all about.

Come on networks, try something novel in today’s world…..Good taste and a display of some decent moral values! Leave the more adult shows to later in the evening…perhaps 10:00 p.m. you’d have a lot of ecstatic and loyal parents out there!!! Denise -
NY Med was a great show – it really got down to the “real” reality TV. Let’s get it back now!

Bring back The Fat Albert Show, The little Rascals,Cosby Show,Carol Burnett and Friends, etc the shows that are showing have no meaning to what the show is about .

My husband and I have become avid fans of the “Mentalist”,. We didn’t realize how entertaining the show was until we saw the reruns on TBS. We have recently discovered several shows that turned out to be good TV that has been cancelled. .
