CBS Renews CSI: NY, Cancels CSI: Miami, Unforgettable and Others; Rules Still on Bubble

CBS made call on all but one of its lingering “bubble” programs on Sunday, renewing CSI: NY for another season while pulling the plug on 10-year-old CSI: Miami and the freshman programs Unforgettable, Rob and NYC 22.

A decision has yet to be made on the Eye’s last “bubble” show, Rules of Engagement.

UPDATE: CBS reversed its decision on Unforgettable and renewed it for a Summer 2013 return — albeit with some cast changes.

Of CSI: Miami‘s 10-year run, CBS said in a statement, “[It] leaves an amazing television legacy – a signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in CBS’s rise to the top over the past decade. We thank all the producers – led by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ann Donahue — and its talented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 outstanding seasons. Viewers around the world will continue to enjoy rebroadcasts of CSI: Miami in syndication and on key digital platforms for many years to come.

So very tired of all the “crap” on TV. CSI Miami at least had awesome photography and beautifully exciting shots of Florida!

There were quite a few talented actors that were left jobless due to this brilliant corporate decision. The higher level of technology also made this show interesting to watch

The CSI’s left on the air, although kinda of interesting, don’t have the interesting qualities CSI Miami gave us.

Once again good work goes “down the drain”, and for what…?

    • This comment is late news…notice the the finale of csi NY was in Feb….what does that tell us..that the airheads are at it again…I don’t want to watch fat people on tv..bad enough in real life……Where is Dick wolf and Jerry bruckheimer (sp) the great producers… Golden boy sucks……what the hell will happen this summer….more bad shows..I’d rather watch reruns on my DVR…….The brains that watch these shows must smoke alot of pot…brain dead….person of interest is bad news..watching that little nerd once made me stop watching it

What do you mean CSI NY is ending. NO NO NO I love that show. My favourite of all CSI’s. Love the cast and especially Gary Sinise. He has the kindest face which makes him very sexy. Hope you are wrong.

Well, people are all different thus their opinions. And I believe that CSI: New York is the best. Never was I really into Miami or Las Vegas but watched it anyway because they are crime dramas. NCIS, The Mentalist and Castle are good too and I’m a bit afraid that I won’t be able to handle heartbreak when they axe one of these shows again. Aye?

    • I love crime shows myself…but I don’t like a series with no ending at the end of the hour….
Golden boy sucks……..Reality shows suck and the head honchos who make the programs
have their heads up their butts….I want shows by Dick Wolf and Jerry bruckheimer….they can produce great shows…..and I don’t like to watch fat people on tv…too many in real life…
even when shopping the smallest size u can get is a 14 and up….Hello..I NOW WATCH LMN…. the hell with abc,nbc and cbs”…….WHAT HAPPENED TO LAW AND ORDER SVU
……..CRIMINAL MINDS IS ONE OF THE BEST

I think it is time to cancel CBS. I won’t watch it anymore. All it is about who controls the purse strings. If they don’t like something it goes. Look at their tastes. Moron city!

I only started to watch re-broadcasted episodes of csi miami about a year ago on WE tv. (Sun & Mon binge-a-thon) I am so sad the series is discontinued. I only wish I had caught on to such a great and entertaining show sooner. What a bummer!
