  • So disappointed to see awake cancelled but agree with the other comments that it was the complexity of the show that makes it un-appealing to all of the mindless reality junkies. This show was well written with several good actors with a story line different than anything I have seen…………yet the bachelor, survivor etc get renewed year after year. I agree that shows on this network are never given a fair shot, aired just long enough to get you hooked, then yanked. Think I’ll stick to Global from now on.

    • THIS PIG IS DONE !!! TWEET , FACEBOOK, GMAIL , WHATEVER IT TAKES SHOW YOUR RATINGS POWER AND ”SHUT NBC DOWN” TURN 30 ROCKAFELLER PLAZA INTO A WAX MUSEUM OR A CONVENT , MAYBE A HALFWAY HOUSE FOR PEACOCKS !!!! SO LONG NBC !!!

  • Awake is the only show i watch on NBC so I guess now they’ll peddle their commercials on one less family. It’s the only show we watch “live” instead of setting a timer on dish. The last show we did that for was 24. My wife enjoys Awake even more than 24. The show keeps getting better and better!! Too bad the execs don’t care. Fox cancelled Firefly and now Awake is gone. Shame on you NBC for sucking us in and derailing millions.

  • I absolutely love Awake. Great show! Just found out today from a coworker that the show was cancelled. I did not believe it, did a search & came upon this. So upset…

  • Awake is one of the BEST shows I’ve ever watched. It’s a crime for it to be canceled. Michael Britton should be put on the case. So much crap on TV and this gets the ax??? Crazy.

  • I’m friccccckkking piiiiiiisssssedddd that AWAKE is canceled… Have read great reviews, it’s an amazing show and unless the “reviewers” who can not undersyand the show are just poorly reviewing it because they can’t handle the fact it’s unpredictable…. Aaaghhh I’m so upset i wil no longer watch nbc. Theres nothing but crap on tv these days, and one intellectual show-god it must go bc it’s actually making sense…

  • I have watched and enjoyed every episode of Awake with the sense that it would somehow not reach enough viewers to be renewed. Network TV continues to search for ratings and ignores the loyalty of the viewers it develops with quality shows with fine acting and quality writing. Awake is a show that deserved a better fate and I will miss it. Does NBC understand that it is making a mistake? Do they care? Bring on Lost on a Desert Island with American Idols Who Have Multiple Talent and Will Survive. Me, I am going to my library and find a book to read.

  • I really like awake I just watched tonite and they said finale next week what is wrong with NBC.

  • I am so disappointed that finally an intellectually stimulating and entertaining show comes on the air, and does not get enough promotion from its own network to gather the all important numbers to keep it going. Awake’s writing and acting was exceptional! NBC was definitely asleep in letting this treasure go!

  • Come On! Awake was the one show I actually continuously followed on NBC, and they go off and cancel it.

Comment by Ranen – May 18, 2012 10:05 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Let’s get rid of NBC instead of getting rid of “Awake”. Maybe smart people like those at Fox will pick it up.

Comment by Robert – May 18, 2012 11:16 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • I couldn’t agree more with everyone “Awake” was soo awesome, and I know so many people who watched it so I’m really surprised the ratings were so low. It sucks that 5k who have a nielsen ratings box have to represent all of america because I really think more people watched it than was reflected. SUCKINESS

  • PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL “AWAKE”!! It’s amazing and creative, and network execs wonder why they have problems!! Hopefully another network will pick it up…..please, is another network listening?? NBC’s loss can be another networks GAIN!!! Looked forward to it every week. Please no more reality TV, …just more shows like this one!!!

Comment by Brenda Nigh – May 20, 2012 03:48 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Goodbye NBC….for your lack of ability to know when you have a good thing…..over and over again, you’ve killed the shows of quality, while letting the garbage shows remain on the air.
You don’t deserve a show like “AWAKE”….so hopefully another network will pick it up and keep us on the edge of our seats with great acting, scripts and creative plots twists.
SO LONG NBC!! I’ve had enough of teasing, rug-pulling disappointment caused by your execs who don’t know what the hell they are doing.

    • AMEN TO THAT. I STOPPED WATCHING NBC AND I AM STARTING A BOYCOTT ON FACEBOOK.

  • Harry’s Law & Touch were/are the only two shows we both love(d) and watch(ed) together. Thank god Touch is on Fox. We could all hope that Awake & Harry jump to cable. More likely with Awake: Harry’s payroll is through the roof – it’ll never happen. NBC’s ratings will continue in the basement because of its own stupidity.

Comment by Will – May 20, 2012 05:27 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Really? They cancelled AWAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fudge. This REALLY blows NBC!!!!!!! Now we’ll never know if he’s awake, asleep, in a coma, dead …….. WHOS ALIVE? THE WIFE OR THE SON!!!!???? DONT DO THIS TO ME NBC!!!!

I’m never watching NBC again! They are forever SCORNED in this household along with FOX. I’m still angry with FOX over The Reunion and The O.C.

I would boycott ABC for cancelling GCB, but they’re carrying Once Upon a Time. I’m just going to sneak around ABC on TV and watch it on Hulu.

  • Well thank you very much NBC – following in the footsteps of CBS I see. What do these networks want for numbers? This is why I don’t like watching new shows on the “major” networks – they don’t stand a chance. Really liked Awake. : (

    • BOYCOTT NBC.. GET ON NBC WEBSITE EMAIL THEM THAT YOU ARE BOYCOTTING ALL THEIR PROGRAMS. THEY HAVE A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF CANCELLING GOOD SHOWS. DON’T GET SUCKED IN ON ANY NEW PROGRAMS THAT THEY ARE JUST GOING TO CANCEL. BOYCOTT NOW

Comment by T. GUCCI – May 24, 2012 01:37 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • T, I will gladly help to try to save Awake…can it be picked up by another network? Any other suggestions? Boycotting NBC is fine. The only thing left on NBC I like is Grimm & Smash, but I don’t know if they would care or if it would do any good. Boycotting NBC won’t do much BUT boycotting the SPONSORS that advertise on NBC might just hit ‘em where it hurts…their pocketbook/pursestrings…maybe if we all write to the different sponsors of NBC shows & tell them we won’t buy their products until NBC brings back Awake??? What do you all think? Something like that anyway…

Comment by Lauren O'Shea – May 24, 2012 11:49 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Why am I not surprised about Awake? NBC has abysmal taste when it comes to which shows to keep. Awake and Grimm were their only two shows. So, now they’re down to just Grimm – at least until some moron realizes a good show is still running on the network!! lol

  • my heart aches with the cancellation of awake :( i dont watch much tv and i was watching it online. why cant they just let us have the GOOD shows, ones without cursing, nudity, sex, innuendos, craziness…oh wait those are the ones they keep. they cancel excellant shows that are without those but are captivating, intelligent, thinker shows. ones that hold your interest. give me idol, dwts, biggest loser and awake. the only tv i watch.

  • Awake is an awesome show – so smart and well written. And for those people who commented ‘spoiler allert’ on the ‘finale’ – That it was all a dream – you are wrong. After reading several interviews with Killen, it is actually another part of his subconcious. They has so much more story line to go. What a waste. I just finished watching the program in Australia and i am so dissapointed to find out it has been cancelled. I really hope another network picks it up!! Who do we need to write to to get Awake back on air??

  • I don’t know what to say NBC!! I can’t even begin to express what kind of feeling I get from American TV today :( I am horrified.. Every good show is cancelled.. F**k reality tv.. We have enough of this in our own countries.. But Awake could actually be something in Europe.. Like ALL of europe.. That’s alot of money were are talking about.. But if it is always fast money you’re looking after.. make a freakin’ PORNO!!

  • I do not watch the “reality” shows on TV because of lack of content and who wants to watch a bunch ot untalented people parading around as someone important. Finally a show worth watching, Awake, comes on the air. With all the twist and turns you could loose yourself in it and enjoy the talent of the writers and actors. I too will give up on NBC as a source for good TV watching
