TVLine's May Season Finale Calendar: What's Ending When?

Get More: Finales

It may be time to upgrade your DVR, because the broadcast networks have more than 70 season finales are coming your way during the month of May.

The season-ending action actually kicks off April 29 — aka the fourth day of May sweeps — when The Good Wife wraps Season 3. But starting May 10, things are going to get really ugly. And the 14th and 17th? Utter DVR-programming horror. We may even have to call in the VCR from the bullpen.

Season Finale Guide: Get Exclusive Spoilers on 54 Big Finishes

Already, TVLine has hooked you up with scoops and outright spoilers on dozens upon dozens of season finales. Now, we have compiled a list of finale dates for all of the shows on ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and The CW. Our calendar may look tiny below — but click on it twice and you’ll find something meaty and printable, to keep on your coffee table next to the remote.

Preemptive P.S. My calendar-making skills are not infallible, so if you spot something that is (theoretically) missing, drop a polite note in Comments and I will (possibly) make updates.

May is coming up and many our favorite show are about to take their summer hiatus. I was going to do this myself but TVLine has put together a calender of when they all end so in the spirit of laziness check it out. I will be doing a post on all the renewals and cancellations as well as one on when all the debut dates for summer shows are.

    • I’m thinking no. Right now I cam counting fewer than five big premieres. See you in June, maybe?

        Common Law (USA): May 11
        Rookie Blue (ABC): May 24
        Melissa & Joey: May 30

  • In Plain Sight series finale May 4th at 10PM on USA. I don’t know if that counts for sweeps seeing as though it isn’t a network show.

  • If I’m not mistaken The Middle season finale is an hour.

And why is CBS ending all it’s shows a week earlier than when sweeps ends? What are they going to air that last week?

  • Some of the re-runs would be nice to see again, but I think it would be good for the networks to introduce some new shows during the summer like they used to when I was a kid. That’s how we got see “My Little Margie” and a few others after Lucy and Our Miss Brooks took their summer breaks. With all these shows ending about the same time there is not much in the way of new shows. Many people will be out doing other things during the summer anyway and it is nice to look forward to October when our “favorites” return (hopefully). Will they ever resurrect “Without a Trace?” That was the best of all the drama shows. Most of the others are just too hokey.
