What to Watch: The TVLine-Up for Sunday

On TV this Sunday: James Cameron explores Titanic‘s mysteries even further, Nurse Jackie, The Big C and The Borgias uncork new episodes, The Client List hopes to rub you the right way, CSI: Miami wraps its 10th (and final?) season and more. On this very busy night, here are 11 programs you may want to keep on your radar.

8 pm Titanic: The Final Word with James Cameron (National Geographic) | The director of Titanic (now out in 3-D!) brings together a team of engineers, naval architects, artists and historians to deliver the ultimate forensic investigation into infamous shipwreck.

2012 Renewal Scorecard: What’s Coming Back? What’s Getting Axed? What’s on the Bubble?

9 pm GCB (ABC) | Back-to-back episodes! In the first hour, Sharon is out for blood when the Matron of Honor duties change hands. The second episode brings a surprising assignment from Pastor Tudor: get frisky. (And you better believe the GCBs take their homework very seriously.)

9 pm The Killing (AMC) | Sarah tracks down Rosie’s backpack; Richmond confronts the truth about his situation; Stan gets in deeper with the mob as Mitch resurfaces.

9 pm Game of Thrones (HBO) | After nine years as a Stark ward, Theon reunites with his father, who wants to restore the ancient Kingdom of the Iron Islands; Davos enlists a pirate to join forces with Stannis and Melisandre for a naval invasion of King’s Landing.

9 pm Nurse Jackie (Showtime) | In the Season 4 premiere, Jackie hits rock bottom and heads to to a “magical place” while All Saints is taken over by a new director (Third Watch‘s Bobby Cannavale) who makes a shocking personnel change.

9:30 pm The Big C (Showtime) | Season 3 premiere: Cathy receives medical news that gives her reason to hope for recovery; Sean supports Andrea’s newfound appreciation for her heritage; Adam turns to prayer to help his ailing mother.

Save the Dates: April’s Big Premieres, Returns and Finales!

10 pm CSI: Miami (CBS) | Season 10 finale of the yet-to-be-renewed procedural: When one of the CSIs’ biggest enemies is murdered, Horatio must determine which of his team members is a suspect.

10 pm The Client List (Lifetime) | In this series based on the 2010 TV-movie, Jennifer Love Hewitt reprises her role as a single mother who makes ends meet by working as a massage therapist at an overly accommodating day spa. In other words: On Once Upon a Time, there are no happy endings. Here, however….

10 pm Mad Men (AMC) | Don runs into someone from his past! Joan makes a decision! Roger gives Peggy extra work!

10 pm The Borgias (Showtime) | Season 2 premiere: Pope Alexander VI takes a new lover and throws a grand fete for the citizens of Rome; the rivalry between Cesare and Juan spills into the streets; Della Rovere narrowly escapes an assassination attempt.

10:30 pm Life’s Too Short (HBO) | Season 1 finale: Warwick attends a charity event in the hope of hanging out with celebrities. But while trying to impress rock icon Sting, he ends up spending more than he can afford.

  • Tonight watched the last season finales of Nurse Jackie and The Big C to refresh my memory before the premieres tomorrow. I’d forgotten how both ended: on Nurse Jackie, Kevin confessing an affair to Jackie that came out of the blue as there was no sign of it all season long; and The Big C was just plain shocking. Can’t wait to see both shows. Only bad thing is they’ve been moved to Sunday night at 9/930. Have to now decide between these 2 shows and The Killing. :/ Will probably watch The Killing on Monday.

      • Tripoli I didn’t realize you were an expert on ratings? You certainly aren’t an expert on entertaining TV shows, that’s for sure!

        • You’re just in denial now. It’s good to admit you’re wrong early then to crash and burn later when GCB gets canned.

  • Celebrity Apprentice – will check in, although I find the women’s team so annoying hard to stick with it. Actually far more entertaining to follow @clayaiken’s tweets through the episode than to watch it.

  • I quite enjoy the effort to make the Mad Men episode descriptions more exciting by altering the punctuation. Gave me a little chuckle this morning.

  • ABC should have aired a new Once in front of the 2 hour GCB to see what the figures might be with a NEW Once lead in. Oh well we will never know.

I’m watching GCBand Game of Thrones

    • i bet GCB numbers would be amazing, I love DH but it isnt helping out GCB and I strongly believe when theres a new show the lead in can help it or break it and even though GCB is doing ok I think with Once as lead in it can do good, maybe at least 8 million.

  • Very excited for TV tonight, but I’m afraid that these networks need to get it together. My DVR can only record two shows at once, and four 9pm shows, all of which I watch, is simply not gonna do. They need to realize their competition.
