What to Watch: The TVLine-Up for Sunday

On TV this Sunday: The investigation into The Killing of Rosie Larsen is reopened, it’s Opening Day for Game of Thrones Season 2, three Showtime series say goodbye and more. As but a supplement to TVLine’s original features (linked within), here are 10 programs to keep on your radar.

8 pm Academy of Country Music Awards (CBS) | Sara Evans, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban are among the performers, while Beth Behrs (2 Broke Girls) serves as the now-requisite Social Media Correspondent.

8 pm The Killing (AMC) | The two-hour Season 2 premiere picks up just moments after the finale, with Linden covertly following up on the faked photo tip, Holder allying with powerful people and Richmond’s staff reeling from the shooting. 8 pm Frozen Planet (Discovery) | Winter is coming… in Episode 3 of this docuseries, titled “Winter.”

9 pm Shameless (Showtime) | Season 2 finale: With nothing left to hide, Jimmy wants Fiona to meet his family; Frank plans to break Monica out of the psychiatric facility; Sheila and Jody conspire to harbor Karen’s fugitive baby; Lip pushes Karen to do the right thing for her baby.

9 pm Great Expectations (PBS) | Gillian Anderson (X-Files), as Miss Haversham, and Ray Winstone (Sexy Beast) are among the cast in this adaptation of the Dickens novel. (Part 2 airs next Sunday.)

9 pm Family Guy (Fox) | After Peter’s favorite children’s TV show gets cancelled, he takes matters into his own hands by creating and starring in his own show for kids. Introducing Katharine McPhee (Smash) as a guest voice.
