The TVLine-Up: TV Worth Watching This Sunday

On TV this Sunday: Once Upon a Time‘s Emma meets a mad man, Mad Men makes its long-awaited return, Luck crosses the finish line, Shameless has a nontraditional Thanksgiving and more. On this very busy night, here are nine programs you might want to keep on your radar.

8 pm Once Upon a Time (ABC) | Emma is kidnapped by a man who is mad for hats (Gossip Girl‘s Sebastian Stan); the Evil Queen takes a field trip outside of the fairy tale world, persuading a skillful man of magic to travel to Wonderland and help steal from the Queen of Hearts. (See photos.)

8 pm Harry’s Law (NBC) | Harry helps her next door neighbor — who is accused but not charged as a sex offender — from losing her job; Adam  plays mediator when the women who work in the shoe store revolt against Chunhua’s seemingly tyrannical leadership.

9 pm Mad Men (AMC) | Two-hour Season 5 premiere: Did Don marry his secretary Megan? Did Joan have her baby? Will Pete ever get his due? Is Betty still in the mix? What time is it? When did [SPOILER]ing a [SPOILER] get so kinky? After 525 days off the air, the acclaimed drama serves up those answers and more. To celebrate, view some handsome photos, mix up Mad cocktails and watch our red carpet interviews with the cast here (at the 2:45 mark):

9 pm Luck (HBO) | Series finale: As Jerry maps out a strategy for another big score, Escalante keeps an anxious ear out for news about Jo; Gus takes extraordinary precautions to protect his boss before joining Ace for an epic showdown between the two stars of Santa Anita.

9 pm Shameless (Showtime) | It’s a typical nontraditional Gallagher Thanksgiving that includes a suicide attempt, Carl shooting a bald eagle, an identity change, a surprising hook-up and Karen’s graphic labor. You do not want to miss this one.

9 pm The Good Wife (CBS) | When Alicia is assigned to be on a blue ribbon panel investigating a police shooting, she begins to question the motivations of the panel’s chairman (guest star Matthew Perry); Kalinda receives unwanted attention from the IRS. Jill Flint returns as FBI agent Lana Delaney. (Get scoop!)

9 pm Desperate Housewives (ABC) | Gaby tries to land a high-powered position in order to maintain her extravagant lifestyle; Bree is suspicious of Andrew’s intentions after his wedding announcement; Lynette puts a plan into action to win Tom back; Ben finally proposes to Renee.

CBS Reveals Finale Dates and Scoops (Funerals! Weddings! Space Missions! New Lovers!)

10 pm Breakout Kings (A&E) | After a clever breakout turns into a killing spree, Lloyd realizes that the escapee is checking off a killing bucket list, thinking of himself as an avenging angel. (Dexter?) The team sets out to stop him before it’s too late.

10 pm Leave It to Niecy (TLC) | Series premiere: Reno 911! and DWTS alum Niecy Nash takes viewers into her home in a “modern family docu-sitcom” with her husband, three kids (all from previous relationships) and opinionated mother. (We expect it to land somewhere between the Kardashians and the Osbournes.)

  • Sundays suck without TWD. At least only 1 more week til Game of Thrones….but this sunday makes me wish I had showtime instead of just watching all those shows on DVD when they come out.

    • I have been obsessed with OUAT due to Robert Carlyle as as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.
Then I also just sort of fell in love with it in general.

  • Shameless. Californication ( I know it’s not in the poll, but it’s one of the funniest comedy/dramas on TV). Once Upon A Time. Luck.

    Next week: Game of Thrones.
Soon: The Borgias and THE WALKING DEAD.
