The TVLine-Up: TV Worth Watching This Tuesday

On TV this Tuesday: NCIS welcomes back Jamie Lee Curtis, Cougar Town drops a baby bombshell, New Girl Jess meets a new, older guy, Southland stages its season finale and more. In addition to TVLine’s original features (linked within), we’ve carved out nine programs you may want to check out tonight.

8 pm NCIS (CBS) | The Secretary of the Navy partners Gibbs with Dr. Samantha Ryan (returning guest star Jamie Lee Curtis) after top-secret information is leaked by someone on the inside. Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings) also guest-stars.

8 pm 90210 (The CW) | Expect a lot of hospital scenes as Dixon collapses while arguing in the recording studio with Adrianna, Liam stands by Silver’s side as she is tested for the breast cancer gene and Ivy finds out Raj still has cancer. Oh, and Annie meets a guy (Drop Dead Diva’s Robert Hoffman) who turns out to be a priest. Heaven, help us!

8 pm Raising Hope (Fox) | As Virginia looks after and counsels a troublesome teenage girl on premarital sex, Burt makes a surprising confession; Maw Maw once again confuses Jimmy with her late husband, so Jimmy and Sabrina play along.

8:30 pm Cougar Town (ABC) | Grayson’s bachelor-era baggage lands squarely on Jules’ head when a chance encounter with one of his former flings reveals that he’s the father of a young girl he never knew he had. Enter Nicole Sullivan (King of Queens) as the couple’s pre-marriage counselor.

Switched at Birth Finale Preview: Secrets Exposed, Bombshells Dropped… Relationships Ended?

9 pm The River (ABC) | Season finale: En route to their final destination, the Magus crew finds itself in complete chaos when one of their own is shot dead by an unseen killer, leading Jahel, against her father’s wishes, to summon the spirit of the Nielsen families Boíuna for help.

9 pm New Girl (Fox) | Jess reluctantly dates the wealthy father (My Best Friend’s Wedding‘s Dermot Mulroney) of one of her students; Schmidt and Winston get ultra-competitive playing bar trivia. Slightly fun fact: Mulroney was in the 2002 movie About Schmidt!

CBS Renews 18 Shows for Next Season, Fate of Two CSI Series Left Up In the Air

10 pm Unforgettable (CBS) | When Carrie’s latest case is stalled by a powerful family’s influence, she receives assistance from a lawyer who just may be the mysterious caller who orchestrated a series of sniper attacks. Will Chase (Smash) and Jay O. Sanders (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) guest-star.

10 pm Southland (TNT) | Season finale: It’s the last day on patrol for Tang, as she prepares to move to another precinct as sergeant; Lydia is pressured to make a decision about her police duties during the rest of her pregnancy; Ben is partnered with Dewey while still determined to track down the prostitute he’s been trying to help.

10 pm Justified (FX) | Come for the sheriff’s election (Go, Team Bobby!), stay for the deep dark secret about Quarles’ past.

    • Was it my imagination or did they shoot all of the Jamie Lee scenes through tissue paper? Every scene with her seemed filtered.
