Save the Dates: March Premieres and Finales!

Oh, you’re not out of the DVR-programming woods yet. On the heels of the 70-plus season/series premieres and finales that January and February brought us, TVLine presents this handy calendar of key March dates, including the latest batches of Mad Men and Army Wives, the final season of In Plain Sight, the return of Community and CSI: NY, and the debuts of newbies such as NBC’s Awake (read our review) and ABC’s Missing.

Renewal Scorecard: What’s Coming Back? What’s Getting Axed? What’s on the Bubble?

Premieres are denoted in BOLDClick the thumbnail calendar below, and save the dates!

Preemptive P.S.
My calendar-making skills are not infallible, so if you spot something that is (theoretically) missing, drop a polite note in Comments and I will (possibly/eventually) make updates as warranted (especially if I’m on an M&Ms high).

P.S. No. 2: The tinted box in the lower right corner offers a peek at some April 2012 dates, including the season premieres for The Killing and Game of Thrones and the finales of One Tree Hill and Ringer.

Comment by ToniMarie – February 29, 2012 10:48 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • ALCATRAZ and HOUSE finale dates are set for March 26 and May 21, respectively.

      • Does the season finale of Alcatraz take into account the episode we missed on 2/27 because of the Nascar race delay?

        • Once again, with feeling: The ALCATRAZ and HOUSE finale dates are set for March 26 and May 21, respectively.

    • i’m confused, is there a reason why Alcatraz is ending so early? It just started last month!

      • It has always been working off of just a 12-episode order.

Comment by Matt Webb Mitovich – February 29, 2012 01:17 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
        • I think Alcatraz has a 13 episode order.
          March 5 – Ep 8 & 9
          March 12 – Ep 10
          March 19 – Ep 11
          March 26 – Ep 12 & 13

          • From everything I have read it goes like this
            1-01 16/Jan/12 Pilot
            1-02 16/Jan/12 Ernest Cobb
            1-03 23/Jan/12 Kit Nelson
            1-04 30/Jan/12 Cal Sweeney
            1-05 06/Feb/12 Guy Hastings
            1-06 13/Feb/12 Paxton Petty
            1-07 20/Feb/12 Johnny McKee
            1-08 28/Feb/12 Clarence Montgomery
            1-09 05/Mar/12 The Ames Brothers
            1-10 05/Mar/12 Sonny Burnett
            1-11 19/Mar/12 Webb Porter
            1-12 26/Mar/12 Garrett Stillman
With 108 that the US didn’t see because of Nascar. And they have pushed back, will are out of order. The week of 3/5 they are showing episodes 109 and 110 then NEXT week showing 108.

    • I was wondering the same thing about Nascar pre-empting House & Alcatraz. I know in the DFW area Fox is going to re-air Alcatraz at 10pm (central) on Saturday. Not sure about House.

      • Thanks! I’m still sad the season is so short. This show is ridiculously addictive!

Comment by Briana – February 29, 2012 11:34 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
        • Well it is more than twice as long as season 1 (6 eps vs. 13 eps) and it’s the same # of episodes as most other AMC shows. 13 episodes is a good order. Probably seems like less because the season was split into 2 chunks.

    • Yeah, the “April” box is merely icing on the cake, an added flourish, noting a few “select” dates. It is by no means all-encompassing. But check back on March 31 for the April calendar!

      • I’m sorry, I only mentioned it because for some reason I thought it was coming back in a different time slot, but it’s usually on at 9 anyway and Raising Hope’s the only one shifting. My bad!

  • Such a crime that In Plain Sight is getting the shaft. One of the sharpest, wittiest lead characters and a great mystery back story with her father. A micro-season is not going to satisfy me! Please, somebody save this show!!!! We want more Mary and Marshall Marshall!

Comment by LISA08 – March 1, 2012 03:52 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Was sad to se “Final Season” plastered across the return date promo, myself. I worried with the whole baby thing that maybe they were gearing up for an early endgame with this show. I hope they tie up some of the loose ends, I loved Mary’s crazy family and history and was hoping to learn more of Marshall’s since we’ve really only seen snipits.

  • Just 6 episodes of Psych? Is that normal and it is just the timing of those episodes seems odd?

Comment by MAs – March 1, 2012 10:55 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • The first 9 episodes of the sixth season of Psych aired in the fall, the remaining 7 episodes resumed on Feb 29. So, there are totally 16 episodes in this season.
