Pilot Scoop: Rachael Taylor Moves to 666 Park Avenue, Oscar Winner to Beauty and the Beast

Former Grey’s Anatomy doc Rachael Taylor is moving in to 666 Park Avenue, ABC’s supernatural drama pilot from Fringe co-executive producer David Wilcox.

Also among the latest pilot castings: ABC’s Beauty and the Beast adds an Oscar winner, The Goodwin Games‘ Becki Newton and Scott Foley gain a sibling, and Law & Order vet Linus Roache eyes more drama.

As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Taylor will star in 666 Park opposite Dave Annable (Brothers & Sisters) as one-half of a couple who agrees to manage an historic (and supernaturally-charged) New York City apartment complex owned by an equally creepy older man (played by Lost‘s Terry O’Quinn).

In other pilot news, per our sister site Deadline:

Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham — who most recently popped up on Blue Bloods — has joined ABC’s Beauty and the Beast pilot as a wise and trusted but duplicitous man of state.

Linus Roache (Law & Order) will play an ambitious senator in ABC’s untitled Roland Emmerich drama pilot centered on an astrophysics grad student in NYC who learns he’s been chosen to destroy the forces of evil.

Jake Lacy (Better With You) will play brother to Becki Newton and Scott Foley in The Goodwin Games, the Fox comedy pilot about a trio of siblings who reconnect in order to inherit their recently-deceased father’s fortune.

Missi Pyle (The Artist) will star alongside Mike O’Malley in Fox’s Prodigy Bully, a comedy about a young genius who uses his brains and brawn to get whatever he wants. Pyle will play the boy’s intense mother.

David Eigenberg is suiting up for his first series regular gig since Sex and the City as a veteran firefighter in NBC’s drama pilot Chicago Fire, which comes from Law & Order creator Dick Wolf.

• Mercy/Necessary Roughness alumna Jaime Lee Kirchner has joined the cast of Fox’s untitled drama pilot about a female doctor (Jordana Spiro) working for the mafia in Chicago, playing surgical resident.

Rachael Taylor will always be one of Charlie’s Angels, even though I’m still in tears about the ABC’s reboot early demise but I’m okay that the Aussie gal is now moving on about her new TV gig. Hope her Angels’ co-star Minka Kelly still needs to find another TV project or perhaps better luck in the near future.

  2. shuayb says:

Epic fail! Minka Kelly should have been cast instead.

  3. GC says:

Yay for Missi Pyle!!! Have loved her for years, hopefully this pilot will be the great role she’s deserved for so long!!!

  4. fernando says:

No Rachel Taylor is perfect for the part, if theres one thing she can act in is a horror or supernatural. She was amazing on Shutter and The Darkest Hour, I hope this and devious maids should get picked up

MICHAEL, YOUR CAPTION PROGRAM FOR PREVENTING SPAM IS NOT WORKING BECAUSE THE LETTERS ARE NOT APPEARING. I’d really like to e-mail some of the articles but can’t. Hope you can fix this soon.

    • Carol C says:

Addendum: Your spam program is fine – turns out the problem was with Safari because I can get the letters to show up in Foxfire. Sorry about that.

Is there any way we can start including pics of each actor, even if it’s a small one, so that we don’t have to navigate to another page just to see who they are? This would make these articles super fun!

  7. Kate says:

How annoying, I was very excited about 666 Park Avenue but i find Taylor such a turn off, she comes across so wooden, and on top of that I cant imagine her next to Annable he seems so much younger and shorter than her!
