Scoop: Heroes' Milo Ventimiglia Joins Frank Darabont's TNT Crime Drama Pilot L.A. Noir

Get More: Casting News, Pilots

Heroes grad Milo Ventimiglia is (finally) returning to the small screen, with a starring role in Walking Dead creator Frank Darabont’s new TNT drama pilot L.A. Noir.

Described as a fast-paced period thriller (based on the acclaimed novel by the same name), the project centers on the 1940s/50s-era epic battle between Los Angeles Police Chief William Parker and boxer-turned-mobster Mickey Cohen.

Ventimiglia will play Ned Stax, a former marine who served during WWII and is now an up-and-coming lawyer who has been groomed to be a “fixer” for the mob, Deadline reports.

Darabont is an executive producer on L.A. Noir and will write and direct the pilot.

    • Or based on the videogame? I would like to know too (Aaron Staton needs to stay on Mad Men but I would be happy for him if he got the lead in this).

  • What happened with that comics-project of his, I think it’s called Rest? There were rumors that he’s going to make a pilot about a year ago or so.

  • Great news! I’ve been hoping he’d show up on a regular basis. Still want to see him {Jess] reunite with Rory in a GG TV movie.

  • As soon as I read that Frank Darabont was writing/directing this I was hooked. I love everything this guy does so I sure hope it gets picked up. Plus I really like that 40s-50s film noir time period.
