Pilot Scoop: House's Peter Jacobson Checks Into Showtime's Ray Donovan

Peter Jacobson Ray DonovanPeter Jacobson has landed his first post-House gig, signing on to co-star in Showtime’s drama pilot Ray Donovan.

Set in contemporary Los Angeles, the potential series stars Liev Schreiber as a professional trouble-shooter who is regularly called on to solve the complicated, confidential and controversial problems of L.A.’s elite.

According to our sister site Deadline.com, Jacobson — who becomes the first House regular to sign on to a pilot since news broke that the show would end in May — will play Lee Drexler, a hard-driving, foul-mouthed wheeler-dealer who relies on Ray as Mr. Fixit whenever his high-profile clients get into hot water.

Other announced cast members for the pilot include Jon Voight as Ray’s father Mickey Donovan, Paula Malcomson as Ray’s wife Abby, Elliott Gould in the recurring role of Ray’s mentor and confidante, and Kate Moennig as Ray’s second in command.

OMG!! I am madly in love with Liev Schreiber. Damn, I may have to get Showtime. Peter Jacobson is a good match with Liev. He’s a very, very lucky man.

Great cast. I can even overlook Jon Voight’s strange politics for this cast.
