The TVLine-Up: TV Worth Watching Wednesday

On TV this Wednesday: A Survivor battle of the sexes begins, the Modern Family gets hungover, Elisabeth Shue returns to Las Vegas (as a CSI) and more. As a supplement to TVLine’s original features, here are nine programs to keep on your radar.

8 pm Survivor: One World (CBS) Season 24 premiere: It’s a battle of the sexes when tribes are separated into men versus women, but they are in dismay when they learn of a game-changing twist – they must share one beach. (Check out the cast.)

8 pm One Tree Hill (The CW) | Tonight, it’s all about Nathan as Dan enlists Julian to help in his search, Mouth fills Clay in about the situation and Haley explains Nathan’s disappearance to Jamie. (Fittingly, James Lafferty directed this episode.)

9 pm Oprah’s Oscar Special (OWN) | This two-hour special promises “revealing” and “intimate” interviews with nominees Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer (both from The Help) and Jonah Hill (Moneyball).

9 pm Modern Family (ABC) | After overindulging in celebratory drinks and some major oversharing, Phil, Claire, Mitch and Cam wake up hungover and wondering where their family should draw the line.

9:30 pm Happy Endings (ABC) | When the whole gang — with the exception of Dave — falls in love with Grant (guest star James Wolk), Max wonders if he really is good enough to date the “perfect” guy; Dave sets out to prove he’s way cooler than Max’s new beau.

10 pm Royal Pains (USA Network) After weeks of neglecting his illness, Jack’s symptoms finally catch up with him, and Hank stays by his side; Boris’ mysterious cousin seeks to mend the family rift and turns to Evan for help.

10 pm Law & Order: SVU (NBC) | A hate crime investigation leads to a surprising revelation about Detective Rollins, threatening her future in the SVU. Esai Morales (Caprica) guest-stars.

    Nothing that is new tonight is a must see for me.
    Might check out CSI to see how Elizabeth Shue fits in, but kinda meh.
    I honestly only tune into Criminal Minds if it is a Reid-centric episode – which are too few and far between.
    So, good night for a movie or catching up on DVR’d shows I haven’t gotten to yet.

    It’s Wednesday, which means ABC night for me, as always! The Middle, Surburgatory, Modern Family, Happy Endings, and REVENGE!!!!!!!! Been waiting for this since the pilot! Can’t wait OMGSOEXCITED!!!!!!

    My Wednesday is ABC’s block from 8-10 (especially Suburgatory and Modern Family), and then Royal Pains.

    There’s nothing on at 8 that is worth watching to me. However, at 9 it’s definitely CRIMINAL MINDS, and at 10, REVENGE is a must-watch, with Law and Order: SVU a must-DVR!

    NO returing Players on Survivor JJ going Badass and finding out who gets shot and who pulls the trigger is cant miss for me

    I’ll definitely be watching Criminal Minds, Modern Family, Happy Endings and Royal Pains tonight. I might watch CSI to see how Shue’s new character does in it, but just for the curiosity.
