  • Great news! I loved the comedic moments Virgil brought to the first season and his friendship with Carrie.

  • Any chance they will replace the daughter for season 2? She was by far the worst part of the show. Such a shame. If they had someone else, the show would be so much stronger.

    • Oh, I respectfully disagree. With her teenager laser focus, she was the one most aware of her mother’s hypocrisy, and that there’s something way off with her dad. The one who loves him and yet is simultaneously very suspicious of him. And even though the family writes Carrie off as a crazy ho, the phone call from her will, I predict, add to her suspicions. Yeah the first couple episodes she was an irritating little twunt, but her intelligence and love shone through.

      • You’re writing more on the character while I was more commenting on the actress. I have no problem with the character, but I don’t like the casting choice.

        • What problems did you have with the actress??? I thought she was fine playing a teenager who by their nature can be annoying.. I guess some people need to find something wrong in everything.. not much wrong with Homeland..

          • i think she’s a fine actress—i stopped watching Once Upon a Time though because the boy actor on their is horrible, can’t stand the red haired youngest daughter on Shameless either–she sucks too.

          • It doesn’t really matter, the producers are wild about that actress which is really only what matters. From the link above, toward the end http://www.tvline.com/2011/12/homeland-season-1-finale-gansa-gordon/

        • since you had no problem with the character then she must have been effective

      • That young actress was very good, especially in the last couple of episodes. She was natural and compelling, and she was able to give emotional performances without coming off melodramatic, which is difficult for some young actors. I see no reason to replace her.
