Boardwalk Empire Bets on Bobby Cannavale as New Season 3 Regular

Nucky Thompson’s got a new thorn in his side.

Boardwalk Empire has tapped Bobby Cannavale to join the Season 3 cast as a new rival to Steve Buscemi’s crime boss, our sister site Deadline.com reports.

Cannavale, who is coming off a season-long arc on Nurse Jackie, will play Gyp Rosetti, a charming but ruthless gangster who challenges Nucky.

Woah, is that really Bobby Cannavale?? He looks WAY different from what I remember from about a year ago. He looks much skinnier. Love him though!

How come I don’t remember Bobby Cannavale in Nurse Jackie? I’m a regular viewer and can’t place him. He should be interesting on Boardwalk Empire though.

So let’s see we lose “Jimmy Darmody” for “Trevor Pierce” maybe some of the fans right “Boardwalk Empire” is done after season 3.

Huge mistake killing off Jimmy, he was fabulous. Maybe some other actor didn’t want to share the lead role??? Why not make that a dream scene and bring him back..

I won’t be watching season 3 now that they killed Jimmy. His character made this series interesting.
