The TVLine-Up: TV Worth Watching This Monday

Get More: Lists, Previews, TVLine-Ups

On TV this Monday: Drs. House and Hart are back seeing patients, another Alcatraz ne’er-do-well goes on the lam, Castle gets a “reality” check and more. We’ve singled out nine programs to keep on your radar.

8 pm House (Fox) | New time slot alert! An Alzheimer’s patient’s unusual symptoms lead the team to unravel a marital conflict between him and his dutiful wife; House and Foreman butt heads; Wilson treats a patient who claims to be in a chaste marriage.

8 pm Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family) | Spencer and Hanna grow increasingly concerned that “A” will endanger the men in their lives; Aria goes on a “date” with Holden to hopefully end Ezra’s incommunicado status.

8 pm Gossip Girl (The CW) | Certain people scheme behind Blair’s back to make her bachelorette party a night to remember; Serena and Dan pretend to be dating to protect someone close to them.

9 pm Alcatraz (Fox) | Time slot premiere: The team races against time to catch reappeared Alcatraz inmate Kit Nelson, a terrifying child abductor who always returns his victims home – after he’s killed them.

9 pm Hart of Dixie (The CW) | When Zoe discovers that she is a legacy to the Bluebell Belles, Lemon makes it her mission in life to shut her out by putting her through a humiliating initiation; Lavon, with Wade’s help, jumps back into the dating scene; George plots to stop a huge chainstore from building near Bluebell.

9 pm The Lying Game (ABC Family) | On the night of the country club’s Black and White Ball, jealousy and lies start to take their toll on Emma and Ethan; Laurel and Ted reel after they discover the motive behind Justin’s actions; Rebecca and Mads counsel each other on matters of the heart.

9 pm Being Human (Syfy) | Past mistakes come back to haunt Aidan and Josh; Sally flirts with a fun but dangerous new pastime.

2012 Renewal Scorecard: What’s Coming Back? What’s Getting Axed? What’s on the Bubble?

10 pm Castle (ABC) | When a famous dog trainer is killed, the investigation keeps coming back to charismatic reality-TV star and tabloid darling Kay Cappuccio (played by Hilarie Burton, White Collar). Smallville‘s Justin Hartley also guest-stars, as Kay’s boyfriend.

10 pm Lost Girl (Syfy) | In “Where There’s a Will, There’s a Fae,” Bo’s involvement in the Fae world deepens as she helps out a Will-o-the-Wisp in need. So, the pun-tastic episode title works on multiple levels; I give it an 8.5.

  • No new HIMYM?

Castle and Alcatraz for me tonight then.

    • No HIMYM really? They seem to skip a week between new episodes lately. Sigh.

      • They almost always do that in January. Then all new episodes for February. Then probably 1 episode for all of March, and maybe another couple in April. Then all new episodes for May. It sucks.

  • Can you say “Hilarie Burton, One Tree Hill,” seeing as she’s a “regular” on WC but, ya know, she’s never on it.

  • I liked the first ep of Lost Girl, so I’m gonna catch it again. Although I think the BBC version of Being Human is far superior, I’ll watch that as well. Gonna give Alcatraz another chance to hook me, but I’m not sold yet.

  • I have Alcatraz on my DVR list but it is a bit procedural. However, some of the twists have me intrigued. And Jorge Garcia is a hoot in this.

  • I’m done with House. Will watch the season (series?) finale only.
Alcatraz premiere was good, but I’m afraid we’ll all get tired of its M.O. very soon (every week new bad guy reappears, does bad things to random people and gets caught in the end). Let’s wait and see… hope they prove me wrong.

  • No new Hawaii Five-O tonight and next week as well. Hope Fox and Kevin Reilly may have a decision on whether HOUSE will end after eight seasons or get renew for a Season Nine which could be its last and I’m planning on watching Alcatraz On Demand ’cause I’ve always have eyes on Sarah Jones not Jorge Garcia (Hurley from LOST).
