Grey's Anatomy Scoop: Summer Glau Checks In

Winter’s not even half over yet Grey’s Anatomy already has Summer on the brain.

Summer Glau, that is.

The actress — whose cult fave-packed resume (Firefly, Dollhouse, Sarah Connor Chronicles) has made her goddess of fanboys everywhere — will guest star in an upcoming episode of Grey’s, series creator Shonda Rhimes announced on Twitter late Monday.

Details about Glau’s character are forthcoming.

  • Summer Glau is indeed more used to play the damaged super-powered barely or not at all human characters who can be considered as generally good guys. But she also played in Lifetime movie “Deadly Honeymoon”, where she was a complete bitch and is the completely opposite of Summers other characters and herself.

    But the unnerving part is that she played her just as fantastically as her other characters, like if she’s always done this through her entire career. Its an amazing feat and I have no doubt that it doesn’t really matter what she plays, as long as she is willing to play a role she will always be fantastic in it. Because she is a fantastic actress who is doing art, not just somebody who is in for the fame despite having no talents at all.

    • Chuck isn’t getting cancelled. It’s getting a proper finish. Also, Dollhouse was already cancelled before she signed on. And you conveniently left out The Unit, which went on for a few seasons after she had her stint on the show. Also The 4400, that one went for a few seasons too. Not to mention Cold Case, that one went for a lot of additional seasons after her ep.
      Oh how I wish people would stop with this BS. *Every* actor has cancelled shows on their resume.

    • ha, ha, it seems you’re not reading tvline carefully enough because Summer Glau recently guest satrred in Alphas on syfy and it get renewed for a second season.

      Or you’re just a sheep repeating bad jokes he has heard on the net.
