FX Renews The League for Fourth Season

FX has renewed its fantasy football comedy, The League, for a 13-episode fourth season.

In a statement Tuesday, FX’s Executive Vice President of Original Programming, Nick Grad, said, “The League continues to be one of our most successful comedy series both creatively and from a ratings standpoint. [Creators] Jackie and Jeff Schaffer, along with our terrific cast, are doing wonderful work each week to make one of the funniest shows on television, and we’re excited to order another season.”

The League — which stars Paul Scheer and Nick Kroll, among others, as old friends in a fantasy sports league — is currently in the midst of its third season, and has welcomed a slew of guest stars this year including Seth Rogen, Jeff Goldblum, Sarah Silverman, Ray Liotta, Will Forte and Eliza Dushku.

Production on Season 4 will begin next summer and is slated to premiere in the fall.
