Singer Katy Perry takes the reins as host of Saturday Night Live this weekend and even though she puts down the microphone this time — Robyn will be the musical guest — Perry still has something to offer in a series of new promos.

Saturday Night Live Recap: Best and Worst Sketches With Host Steve Buscemi

Apparently hiding behind all the singing, fireworks and whip cream resides a pretty good imitation of her British hubby, comic/actor Russell Brand. Perry and SNL regular Kenan Thompson also engage in some deadpan acting and old-timey dancing. And yes, that really is her with the short, blond ‘do!

Will you be tuning in for Perry’s hosting debut this Saturday?

  • As much as I like Katy…I think she’ll be a terrible host. Have you seen her on any award shows? She can’t really even read a teleprompter…

    No. I haven’t watched SNL on TV since the Copy Guy days. I do enjoy some of the video clips that are posted now and then.
