The TVLine-Up: TV Worth Watching This Tuesday

On TV this Tuesday: Glee reels in Trouty Mouth, Syfy gets in the holiday spirit, New Girl receives sex ed, Sons of Anarchy and Covert Affairs say goodbye, and more. We’ve chose 13 things to keep on your radar.

8 pm Glee (Fox) | To bolster New Directions’ head count in time for sectionals*, Finn tracks down and convinces Sam Evans (Chord Overstreet) to come back. (Watch a video sneak peek and view photos.) *You will never think of sectionals/regionals/nationals the same after watching this Thursday’s Community.

8 pm Eureka (Syfy) | In the first of Syfy’s three standalone holiday specials for the night, Carter and Allison are planning a surprise for their kids when a mysterious wave of color crashes over Eureka, leaving the town and its inhabitants animated. Guest voices include Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory), Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica), Chris Parnell (30 Rock) and Matt Frewer.

8 pm 90210 (The CW) | Fall finale: Naomi is tasked with overseeing her arch-nemesis Holly’s birthday party; Annie breaks into Jeremy’s apartment to get the proof she needs to keep her inheritance; Liam discovers shocking news about Annie (that… she breaks into apartments?).

8 pm A Michael Bublé Christmas (NBC) | Only a Grinch would suggest that NBC is handing pretty much everybody a Yuletide special in order to avoid running regular programming. But this one features appearances by (of course) Justin Bieber, Kellie Pickler, Thalia and Oscar the Grouch, plus comedy shorts featuring Bublé, Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) and Ed Helms (The Office). But no Jon Hamm, alas.

8 pm Last Man Standing (ABC) | Mike’s Christmas spirit is dampened when Ryan (guest star Nick Jonas), the father of Kristen’s baby, returns to town; Mandy tries to unionize the Outdoor Man elves.

TVLine Presents Your Guide to Fall Finale and Winter Return Dates

9 pm Warehouse 13 (Syfy) | Waking up to a life where he was never born, Pete must persuade the Warehouse team — none of whom recognize him — to help vanquish a long-dead nemesis from the past.

9 pm Hide (TNT) | Mystery Movie Night continues with this adaptation of the novel by Lisa Gardner, starring Carla Gugino (Entourage), Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Franklin & Bash) and Kevin Alejandro (Southland).

9 pm New Girl (Fox) | When Jess decides to take her relationship with Paul to the next level, she consults with the guys for some sex advice.

9:30 pm Raising Hope (Fox) | As Jimmy and his new coworker Frank spend more time together, they discover they shared a common high school bully. And… cue flashbacks!

Chrishell Stause Teases Tonight’s Body of Proof and All My Children‘s Original, ‘Beautiful’ Finale

10 pm Haven (Syfy) | Just as Audrey begins seeing Christmas decorations mysteriously popping up all over Haven in the middle of July, residents start disappearing into thin air.

10 pm Sons of Anarchy (FX) | That Jax/Clay/knifepoint scene teased in the promo? Ohhhh, it’s a doozy. The rest of the season finale, Part 2, I leave for you to experience yourselves.

10 pm Flashpoint (ION) | When Sam’s sister Natalie asks Spike for help with her drug-running ex-boyfriend, Spike lands in a trap and is forced to recover stolen heroin from an evidence depot.

10 pm Covert Affairs (USA Network) | Season 2 finale: As well-teased here, a case of mistaken identity throws a wrench in Annie and Danielle’s restful getaway to Stockholm; Auggie sees a doctor, then makes a decision; Jai continues to be quite full of surprises.

How long do we have to deal with Sam? I hope Chord’s return is just a brief visit and we’re not stuck with that talentless “actor” for too long.

  10. Jess says:

Since Ringer’s gone for its winter hibernation, this makes choosing my Tuesday TV much easier. FOX for 2 hours, then Parenthood. Is Parenthood new today or is the Buble special 3 hours long?

Looking forward to Raising Hope, I am hoping high school flashbacks mean the return of Drakkar Noir.
