TVLine Items: Lifetime Orders More Army Wives, The Game Sets Season 5 Premiere Date and More!

Lifetime has ordered 10 additional episodes of its hit flagship series, Army Wives, which is currently in production on its sixth season.

According to Deadline, it is unclear whether this latest batch of installments will run concurrent with the previous 13-episode pickup or break off into its own season.

• BET has set a premiere date for The Game Season 5, so mark your calendars: Tia Mowry and Co. will be back on Jan. 10 at 10/9c.

• Kevin Nealon (Weeds) and Martin Mull (Two and a Half Men) will guest-star on a Season 2 episode of Franklin & Bash (returning in summer 2012), E! Online reports. The latter will show up as a judge faced with F&B’s typical courtroom antics, while Nealon will play the drunken chief of a beverage company who winds up involved in a case.

• The Killing‘s Brandon Jay McLaren has joined the cast of White Collar creator Jeff Eastin’s untitled USA Network drama. Per The Hollywood Reporter, he will play a hot-tempered U.S. Customs agent.

• Big screen helmer Bryan Singer (Superman Returns, X-Men) is close to finalizing a deal to direct and executive-produce Bryan Fuller’s reboot of The Munsters for NBC, Deadline reports.

• Chuck’s Zachary Levi will host Spike TV’s Video Game Awards, airing Saturday, Dec. 10.

    I hate that we have to wait so long until the new Army Wives, Dec. of 2012 come on thats like a year. Why is it not coming back in march or may like it always does.

    Actually, EVERYONE SHOULD READ THE ORIGINAL DEADLINE article because it gives much detail about the contract issues that arise from these additional 10 episodes. I really wanted a season 7, and I’m all for treating the actresses fairly, and I guess this decision by Lifetime makes a season 7 VERY unlikely. SIGH (Maybe they could follow-up with one movie a year, I’m sure that would get good ratings while getting everyone together much easier.
