Ultimate Crime-Fighting Crush? Ladies of Psych, Eureka, Fringe, NYPD Blue, Blue Bloods Clash!

Black Friday is upon us, but unless your idea of a good time involves writhing out of a stranger’s chokehold to claim sole possession of the last 25-percent flatscreen TV, might I suggest an intoxicating alternative: Voting in Day 3 of our Ultimate Female Law-Enforcement Crushes Bracket Tournament!

Female Law-Enforcement Crushes Tourney Opens With Castle, X-Files, Medium, Warehouse 13 and V

Today, we’ve got crime-fighting chicas from Eureka, Fringe, Haven, NYPD Blue, Blue Bloods, and Psych entering the TVLine Thunderdome, and it’s up to you to decide the winners!

Every afternoon over the next few weeks, in fact, we’ll launch another set of bouts that will have you dialing 911 with an emergency of lusty proportions. So make sure the right choice is made by heading down to our polls to vote for your favorites (Round 1 voting will be open for 72 hours), and hit the comments to justify your picks.

(Oh, and in case you’re wondering/fretting, we put a cap of two cast members per show for the bracket, which meant some fan favorites had to warm the bench this time around.)

UPDATE: If you’re interested in the match-ups we’ve got planned for the coming weeks, CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT THE ENTIRE 64-PLAYER BRACKET (then click again for a zoomed-in view) — and sign up to follow me on Twitter @MichaelSlezakTV.

Now ready, set, vote!

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

  1. Meg says:

How come the women don’t get a visual bracket like the men do?

  2. Winnie says:

Yes, Jules from psych is one of the most crushable women out there in tv land! I wish White Collar’s Marsha Thomason (Diana) made it, preferably in the place of cartoon Lana (kinda love her inclusion, but she’s up in her initial round against someone arguably regarded as “America’s Sweetheart!”)

  3. Sally says:

Olivia Dunham vs. Sydney Bristow for finals, please!

  4. Mena says:

Olivia Dunham is my ultimate crime-fighting crush! She is awesome!

    • wordsmith says:

Agreed, though I’ll actually admit I find alt-Olivia more crushable – she’s just more fun; maybe a tad evil at times, but certainly more fun.

  5. Girish says:

Olivia (Anna Torv) ftw. She is beautiful and an actress worthy of an Emmy.

  6. Carmichael says:

How can Jo Lupo be losing?

    • NJ says:

I was about to come say the same thing! She’s amazing.

    • opus says:

I like Jo just fine but I love Astrid in Fringe. I’d have voted for Jo in either of the two non-Fringe groupings today.

    • The Squatch says:

I don’t get this either. I mean, we’re supposed to be voting for the character, not the actress, correct? We don’t even know anything about Astrid on Fringe yet, so how can that character be winning? I think people are voting more for the show they’re on than the characters themselves in this case.

      • Amanda says:

I disagree. Astrid is well loved in the Fringe fandom. I believe that in her case, while we don’t know much about her personal life outside of the job, her relationship over the last 3 seasons with Walter is one of my favorite of all the shows I watch. Walter hasn’t always been an easy person to be around, but I believe that her companionship is a big part of the change we saw from him over the first 3 seasons, which makes her character important to the show. So no, I don’t think people are just voting for her simply because she is on Fringe.

  7. Jason says:

Hold up. Jennifer Esposito is on Blue Bloods? Since when? If I’d known, I would have tuned into that show a looooong time ago.

  8. ed salvesen says:

Too many peoples disregard the past (simply because it seems passe’ ?) I like virtually all the women on the list, but Peta Wilson was a visual viagra pill! I just had to give her “props”.

  9. davey says:

FRINGE ladies all the way! But just curious, why is alt-Astrid here instead of our-Astrid. Either or….however our-Astrid is gorgeous. Go Anna Torv :)

  10. Pocki says:

I already have a crush on the first four women. Why are you doing this to me? Oh well, gotta be the Fringe ladies then.

  11. ggny says:

Jo losing to Astrid makes me sad

  12. Amy says:

That awkward moment where it’s Sasha Alexander vs. Cote De Pablo.

  13. John says:

Audrey vs. Olivia, I was hoping for them to be the final

  14. dana says:

Olivia all the way!! The awesome Fringe ladies!

  15. Mike says:

Why isn’t Grace (Kono) Park mentioned?

  16. Scott says:

This is in no way how I think it will go. This is just my personal preference:

    Final Four of DIV A:
#1 Abby Sciuto (She wins this division)
    #2 Dana Scully
    #3 Olivia Dunham
    #4 Temperance Brennan

    Final Four of DIV B:
#1 Kate Beckett (She wins this division)
    #2 Juliet O’Hara
    #3 Jackie Curatola
    #4 Lydia Adams

    Final Four of DIV C:
#1 Kensi Blye (She wins this division)
    #2 Ziva David
    #3 JJ Jareau
    #4 Emily Prentiss

    Final Four of DIV D:
#1 Sarah Walker (She wins this division)
    #2 Debra Morgan
    #3 Annie Walker
    #4 Nikita (Maggie Q)
(I know people will be like, “How did Sydney Bristow lose and then not even make your top four?” Well it’s because I have never seen Alias. So there.)

    Final Four:
    #1 Kate Beckett
    #2 Kensi Blye
    #3 Sarah Walker
    #4 Abby Sciuto

Criticize my final four all you want.

    • Audrey says:

I actually like your winners! Kate Beckett vs Sarah Walker would be a mean battle.

    • Audrey says:

I actually like your winners!! Kate Beckett vs Sarah Walker would be a mean battle.

    • sor says:

Oh god….You just make me realise that I will have to choose between Juliet and Kate. And I love them both.
Kate is beautiful, complicated, smart, strong, amazing.
Jules is cute, beautiful as well, also smart but a little more fun, a little more accessible I want to say.
I will have to think but maybe, I will choose Jules because she feels a little more “girl next door” than Kate. And I like that.

  17. RachelH says:

Jo is so much hotter than Astrid! I can’t believe she’s losing. Grrrr!

  18. Jon says:

I know they’re are some Fringe fans, but if you look at this objectively Emily Rose is a lot hotter than Anna Torv. Also, it’s Yvonne Strahovski or bust.

  19. Justin says:

While I like Jo on Eureka, Fringe is my favorite show, and Astrid is so great in it. Go Astrid!

  20. Grace says:

Where is SELA WARD from CSI:N.Y. She’s fantastic!! :(

  21. mac74 says:

NO CONTEST! Maggie Lawson is the most beautiful, talented and underated actress around and on the best and most AWESOME SHOW, PSYCH! Juliet O’Hara is the sexiest and cutest detective ever! No contest! No other actress rivals the beauty of Maggie Lawson.

  22. aaron says:

these brackets are so totally unfair. it has old shows that aren’t on any more going up against new fresh stuff. that is why NCIS won the male version. Brackets should have old against old and new against new with 2 winners!!!

  23. The Squatch says:

I love Fringe, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think it is fair that people are voting for the “Fringe ladies” just because of the show they’re on. Character-wise, Jo from Eureka is much more fleshed out than Astrid, who we know nothing personal about. And looks-wise, I think Jo runs away with it hands-down. I fully admit this is my own personal opinion, obviously, but I think we should vote based on what we know about the individual characters instead of voting for someone because they are on a certain show. Just my 2 cents.

  24. lipsticksocialism says:

    I love Diane Russell <3 <3

  25. Annie says:

Olivia Dunham can beat anyone in all dimensions and timelines

  26. Ashley says:

WHERE is Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison from Homeland? Don’t CIA agents count?!

  27. stevo says:

You need to inclue Bridget Moynahan (Erin Reagan) from Blue Bloods.

  28. Marissa says:

Got to go with my ladies from Fringe all the way. Hands down. Now contest

  29. karrie says:

Maggie Lawson!!! Juliet O’Hara is the most crushable detective on television. Psych is the best show. Jules without a doubt.

  30. Marissa says:

Ok I may have been confused at first read so now this is more in depth now that I see the different divisions. I will answer one actress per division and then my best actress overall so if I’m still doing it right or wrong now I’m covered lol.
    DIV A
    Olivia Dunham (Ana Torv) Fringe
    DIV B
Olivia Bensen (Marishka Hagarity) Law and Order SVU
    DIV C
    No vote
    DIV D
    Chloe O’Brian (Rajskab) 24

Overall winning lady Anna Torv: Fringe

  31. Gia says:

Go Astro go!! The Fringe ladies all the way!!

  32. Dennis says:

Where is Mrs. Peel? Where is Batgirl? Where is the Girl from Uncle? Where is the Cheerleader? Where is the Bionic Woman(Both Versions were hot)?

  33. mrflamethunder says:

    Olivia Dunham!

  34. sjpatrick says:

    Kate Beckett for the win!

  35. e says:

    ANNA TORV <3

  36. Aqua says:

It’s actually Erica Cerra, not Serra! Just letting you know!!

  37. bhm1304 says:

Putting Emily Rose in a tough opening competition. Fact is, her Audrey Parker is much more crushable than Anna Torv’s Olivia. There is a reason every dude that winds up in “Haven” falls for her.

  38. Eiizabeth says:

Seriously?! Audrey Parker versus Olivia Dunham? This is like “Sophie’s Choice” but sadder!

  39. TheDemko says:

If Abby doesn’t win this whole thing, I call shenanigans.

  40. Gail says:

I vote for Cote de Pablo.

    • Lynn says:

I agree Ziva’s gorgeous, but what make her sexy is the smoldering lust for Michael Weatherly. She’s not able to stand alone like Abby.

  41. Linda says:

    Audrey Parker all the way!!!

  42. Lillyg says:

It’s a shame to see that as stunning as she is, Melina Kanakaredes isn’t in the selection, when Ally Walker who looks like a cocker on Prozac is selected.
