It’s like the Ocean’s Eleven gang pulling off a complicated heist. Only imagine George Clooney and Co. are a team of comedy writers and the task at hand is the greatest TV show Easter egg of all time. (Sorry, Lost.)
Community‘s attentive fans have put together a video that proves the show’s wildly inventive brass have been setting up a Beetlejuice-related joke for three whole seasons, and it finally paid off this fall.
See the gag pan out in the below clip, which shows the cast speaking the name “Beetlejuice” three separate times (mimicking the rules in the 1988 film to summon Michael Keaton’s titular character), and concluding, of course, with the crazy-haired “bio-exorcist”
being transported to our reality skulking in the background. Pretty brilliant, no?
