The TVLine-Up: TV Worth Watching This Tuesday

On TV this Tuesday: A dilemma for the DiNozzos, separation anxiety for NCIS: LA‘s Kensi, a bunch of angry Sons, and more. We’ve hand-selected 10 programs to keep on your radar.

8 pm The X Factor (Fox) | “Giving Thanks” is [groan] the theme as the remaining finalists perform in a two-hour installment. (This week’s results show in turn airs Wednesday.)

8 pm NCIS (CBS) | After Anthony DiNozzo, Sr. is found in a car with a dead body in the trunk and no memory of the previous night, a sidelined Tony must go against orders to try and prove his father’s innocence.

8 pm Jeff Dunham: Birth of a Dummy (BIO) | A profile of a comic who accomplished the seemingly impossible — he’s made ventriloquism hip again. In fact, Dunham has been the top-grossing touring comedian for two years running. And half that time he’s drinking a glass of water!

8 pm 90210 (The CW) | Dixon tries to pursue a relationship with a tentative Adrianna; an unexpected guest RSVPs for the holiday dinner Liam hosts for the gang; Naomi goes to (s)extremes to prove her love to Austin.

8 pm Last Man Standing (ABC) | When Kristin’s boyfriend accidentally falls asleep in her bedroom, Mike establishes a new and more hard-lined set of house rules.

9 pm NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS) | A botched assignment forces Hetty to fire Deeks and send him back to the LAPD, leading to an awkward goodbye — and unexpected emotions — for Kensi. (Read more here, and here.)

9 pm Dancing With the Stars (ABC) | Who will take home the unarguably gaudy mirrorball trophy this time?

10 pm Parenthood (NBC) | An inappropriate moment at work disrupts Adam and Kristina’s marriage; a meeting with Zoe’s boyfriend may jeopardize Julia and Joel’s adoption plan.

10 pm Covert Affairs (USA Network) | Annie is sent to investigate an imprisoned CIA analyst’s daughter, who is believed to be helping her father (X-Men‘s Bruce Davidson) sell intelligence.

10 pm Sons of Anarchy (FX) | Hmm, what can I tell you…? Well, Jax gets wind of Wendy’s return; Bobby takes a meeting with Otto; and an overwrought Opie seeks a pound of flesh.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

First time in a while I have absolutely nothing I want to watch tonight… Tuesdays are my most quiet day anyway, but no New Girl or Body of Proof today means there is nothing for me.

  2. CakE says:

Come on NCIS, how many times is DiNozzo Sr. gonna be in some sort of incriminating situation but actually be innocent? New plot please…

  4. Mark says:

Ugh. Nothing on but CBS procedural garbage. Maybe I’ll just rent Super 8.

  5. Ryan says:

I think DiNozzo Sr. might need his sons help clearing his name in a boating accident from 30 years ago.

  6. socalgal says:

    RYAN: Right on!!!

  7. Doris says:

No Glee, no Ringer, no Body of Proof!!!! What’s on the Food Network & Cooking Channel? Or I’ll join Mark in watching Super 8!

  8. kevin says:

NCIS going for a perfect 10 tonight with Robert Wagner and there’s a reason why he dropped out of the voice-over role of Charles Townsend because of “scheduling conflicts” thanks to Victor Garber in ABC’s canceled reboot of CHARLIE’S ANGELS. Also, it’s hard to say but I’m rooting for Ricki Lake to win DWTS even if she loses to J.R. Martinez and switching over to PARENTHOOD where this season’s love triangle is about to take a turn for the worse just like last season’s involvement with Crosby, Jasmine and Gaby.

  9. Lisa says:

Syfy is airing a Grimm marathon tonight.

  10. Lisa says:

    Last Man Standing
    Grimm (Syfy)
    Covert Affairs

  11. Michael says:

Glee sucks and is basic a ripoff of One Tree Hill
Body of Proof Suck It rip off of Rossi&Ielle

Thank God for NCIS and NCIS LA two of the best show ever and tonight looks to be a Hit

  12. Laur2222 says:

  14. GeeMa says:

Hope Deeks is not gone for good on NCIS:LA. He’s funny, quirky and cute. A breath of fresh air on the show. He’s this show’s Tony character.

  15. fernando says:
