Brrrr!st Look Video: Fox's Ice Age Holiday Special

A new Ice Age is coming — as in a Fox special that will bring the big screen franchise’s familiar characters to your TV on Thanksgiving Day. And TVLine has a first look at a very acorny segment from the holiday treat.

The set-up for Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas (premiering Thursday, Nov. 24, at 8/7c) goes a little like this: In his rush to help the gang get ready for the Yuletide season, Sid (the sloth voiced by John Leguizamo) destroys Manny-the-mammoth’s (Ray Romano) favorite decorations. Told that he is now on Santa’s naughty list, Sid, the possums Crash (Seann William Scott) and Eddie (Josh Peck), and Manny’s daughter Peaches (Ciara Bravo) trek tothe North Pole to plead their case to Santa (Mike & Molly‘s Billy Gardell). Alas, Sid & Co. promptly make a mess of Santa’s Workshop — on Christmas Eve, no less — so… well, you can probably figure out the rest.

With every Ice Age comes new adventures/perils for Scrat, the sabre-toothed squirrel who is always so desperate to lay claim to a choice, tasty acorn. Press PLAY below to see how Scrat’s latest nutty effort plays out:
