TVLine Items: Gossip Girl Wedding Photo, Mad Men Flash-Forward Scoop and More!

Blair Waldorf, a runaway bride?!

That appears to be the case based on a just-leaked Gossip Girl photo, which shows the soon-to-be Princess of Monaco doing one of two things: B is (literally) running late to her nuptials, or she’s headed for the hills and ditching the increasingly annoying Louis. (Let’s hope it’s the latter!)

Regardless of what Blair’s up to, the wedding — which as we first reported is the centerpiece of The CW soap’s 100th episode — is going to be a doozy. Executive producer Josh Safran recently told TVLine’s Michael Ausiello that the royal affair will be “big and lavish and twisty and juicy,” with tons of Easter eggs for longtime GG fans.

Ready for more of today’s TV dish? Well…

Mad Men creator Matt Weiner revealed in an interview with Grantland his plans to end the AMC period piece in present day, stating, “What I’m looking for, and how I hope to end the show, is like … It’s 2011. Don Draper would be 84 right now.” Weiner added that he wants to leave the show — which will conclude after its seventh season — “in a place where you have an idea of what it meant and how it’s related to you.”

• Showtime’s Homeland this Sunday (once again) drew its biggest audience to date, spying 1.41 million viewers at 10 pm and 1.68 million for the night. The thriller-drama is now up 32 percent vs. its series premiere. Similarly, Dexter this week slayed its largest audience (2.61 mil total) since its season opener.

• Oh, Tessa is gonna love this… E! Online is reporting that Jersey Shore‘s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will play himself on an episode of ABC’s Suburgatory, which will air early next year.

• CBS has ordered three additional episodes of the Patrick Wilson-starring A Gifted Man, per Deadline.

• MTV’s fake boy band 2gether (circa 1999-2001) may be plotting a reunion! According to TMZ, the actors behind the faux foursome are all on board to shoot another docu-flick — all they need is the cabler’s blessing.

2.610.000 for DEXTER? On tv by the numbers they say 1.985.000. WHY????

  2. Dani says:

Oh no the sheer thought of them trying to age Jon Hamm’s beautiful face! It could work. I’d just rather they didn’t.

  3. Sarah says:

I wonder if Don will be completely alone or if his kids will have anything to do with him. Sally would be in her 50s and hopefully has been conquering the world since adulthood. Hopefully, she’ll be able to forgive her frequently absentee father.

  4. Laurel says:

As much as Don Draper smokes on Mad Men it would be a miracle if he lived until he was 84 !

  5. lefty says:

Josh Safran? Is he separate from Josh Schwartz?

  6. O'Brien says:

That pic of Blair is very interesting…but 2ge+her? OMG. My friends and I have spoken about the possible epicness of this. YES!

  7. Sharrie says:

OMG Blair as a runaway bride? Awesome!!!!! Let the hijinks ensue!

  8. Amber says:

You’ve intrigued me, Matthew Weiner. All kinds of scenarios are running through my head as to what could happen to the characters by 2011. But I do picture Don Draper being alone in nursing home, in a wheelchair, hooked up to lots of oxygen tanks, slapping the nurses’ butts as they walk by and calling them “sweetie”, and maybe having a little bit of dementia. Betty will be long dead from lung cancer. (Which kind of bums me out to predict as my own Mad Men-era Grandma Betty died from lung cancer in her 80s). Sally is obviously heading towards Woodstock and being a full-on Doors-loving hippy, but from there…hmmm, lots of things could happen to Sally, though I am thinking teen pregnancy. Bobby I see enlisting at the age of 18 and heading towards the latter point of Vietnam and being killed, though maybe he’s not as old now as I think he is on the show. Maybe he just grows a 70s fro, and then spends a lot of time listening to the Bee Gees. Joan, who basically is my great grandma incarnate, will be an 80-year old kept woman who plays cards, wears leopard-print underwear and refuses to date men who aren’t already married to other women. As for Roger…well, that’s not going to end well. Let’s just leave it at that. I can’t decide what’s going to happen to Peggy. Her ending could be happy, or not. Hard call to make.

  9. Alex says:

Interesting about Mad Men…Don would be pretty old in 2014 when (presumably?) the series will end…glad that there’s an end game and that they know exactly how much longer the show is going to last.

  10. dee123 says:

Could be something they took on purpose.

  11. Milena says:

I just hope she is running away from her wedding to her true love Chuck. I am just sick of GG delaying Chuck and Blair’s reunion with absurd obstacles.

  12. Volcfom says:

Yay for 2ge+her! I know my calculus!

  13. run Blair run. chuck’s waiting.
