Exclusive: Sons of Anarchy Boss Kurt Sutter Sheds Light on This Week's Very Dark Twists

[The following contains major spoilers from this Tuesday’s episode of FX’s Sons of Anarchy. If you have yet to lay witness to it all, turn back now.]

If you thought FX’s Sons of Anarchy came in hot this Tuesday night and let loose with a bevy of dark twists, series creator Kurt Sutter needs you to know this: “Things will only continue to spiral downward” for Jax, Clay and the rest of the SAMCRO crowd. For viewers, he does promise an imminent chance to “breathe” (though, he notes, the show will stop well short of serving up “a lot of laughter”).

In the wake of all that transpired during the episode aptly titled “Hands,” TVLine invited Sutter to discuss the storytelling avenues he steered his Sons onto, including why he let one character cheat death, if another major player is now beyond redemption (answer: not necessarily), and how this mayhem led to the next episode getting super-sized.

FX Extends Sons of Anarchy‘s Fourth Season

TVLINE | I wanted to first talk about the decision to not kill Tara, at least for now. Is your school of though that it will be harder for Jax to live with a destroyed wife than a dead one?
[Killing Tara] was never my intention. As the season progresses, you’ll see that it’s about creating parallels that relate back to Jax’s father, to Gemma, and we see that arc continue to play out. Tara truly loves Jax, but it’s always sort of on-again, off-again in terms of her being supportive of the club and not supporting the club. I knew that if she were to continue on this path that we really would have to knock her off the fence, and in Episode 10 I think both she and Gemma get knocked off the fence. As she says in that one scene with Jax, her skills as a doctor were her “way out,” and now that’s been taken away from her, so it was just really about creating this circumstance where we could do that. I know I didn’t want her to get kidnapped again, because we had done that. And that king-and-queen parallel that we have with JT and Gemma and Clay and Gemma was something I wanted to continue to play out, so I knew that I didn’t want to kill her or do that to Jax at this point. His conflict of club and [doing right by his family] will continue, and without Tara, you take some of the power of that away.

TVLINE | Tara’s not necessarily out of the woods yet, though.
Obviously Clay will remain a threat throughout the rest of the season – and there’s almost another third of the season to go.

TVLINE | Turning to Clay/Gemma: How do you script that brutal assault scene without thinking, “I’m hereby painting this guy into a corner”?
Well, I think that’s point. I’m a big believer in committing, and rather than sort of seeing Clay sort of go to the dark side, we needed to see him basically cross that line. The reality of it – and we have this discussion in the writers room – is this is not the first time Clay has hit Gemma, and it’s not the first time Gemma has hit Clay. We have seen the passion and the violence in their relationship in the past, but I do believe this is the first time it was not just a smack and a push and a shove and a scream, but it manifested into absolute rage where he close-fisted and brutally beat her. There are some opinions in terms of why Gemma gave Clay the chance that she gave him [at the end of last week's] Episode 9, and for me it’s because these two had this life together … and I really do believe that Gemma thought she could bring Clay back. She has been his guiding light for such a long time, at the end of [Episode] 9, when she looks him in the eye and says, “Promise me,” she really believes that she got through to him. Clay ultimately making that decision [to order the hit on Tara] is about his own fear and his own ability to trust, which is really his tragic flaw. Once he does that, Gemma feels like, “OK, he can’t be trusted and he is no longer an advocate of moving my family in the right direction.” But it took that act of brutality for her to really get to that place.

TVLINE | And the immediacy with which he betrayed that promise spoke volumes. There’s no bringing him back.
No, there isn’t, but you know what? Here you have these really strong, complex characters. And not to draw this parallel, but look at the things Tony Soprano had done over the years – the lies and the cheating that he did with Carmella. And yet there were times when he came back to that relationship where you really believed that at the end of the day he still loved her and maybe they had a chance. And I think that’s the case for Clay. Obviously he’s definitely gone to the dark side here and he’s done some horrendous things, and that’ll continue to play out, but as I watch these last three or four [upcoming] episodes, Clay has got a lot of demons and there’s a lot of reasons for the things that he does, and there are moments where I honestly believe people will have compassion for him — maybe not forgive him, but absolutely have compassion and understanding as to why he does the things he does. That’s what we do on this show, is show the extreme swings we in humanity all exhibit.

TVLINE | But as I watch him go to these increasingly dark places, I must wonder: Can there be a Sons of Anarchy without Clay?
I never think of it in terms of, “OK, who can I do this show with? And who can I do it without?” I really try to tell the stories organically. Take the death of Piney. To me, that’s an arc that’s been building since the first season, and it really made sense this season for it to go down, in terms of moving this show along and moving the body of the other characters forward. That death will be a mile-marker in the mythology of the show. I try to let the stories manifest, and then I get to the decision of, “If it makes sense for this character to go, what does that mean for the rest of the show?” A perfect example is Juice this season. We brought him to that point where he was swinging from that tree and we thought: “What if the branch doesn’t snap? What if he does kill himself?” I could have gone either way, but he’s a character that has a lot of vulnerabilities and brings a lot of compassion and lightness, for lack of a better word, to the show, so I made the decision creatively that I didn’t want that character to go away.

Sons of Anarchy‘s Rockmond Dunbar on the Sheriff’s Efforts to Save Tara, Juice — and SAMCRO?

TVLINE | After “Hands,” will we have a moment for the color to get back in our knuckles, or are you going to keep on keeping on for this season’s final four episodes?
It was an intense episode, and obviously the manifestations of that will play out. It’s why I think Episode 11 [airing next Tuesday] ended up being 90 minutes. I organically had to have people respond and react. You’ll see the ramifications that it has on Jax, as he sees Gemma, and on the rest of the club. Things will continue to spiral downward, in terms of the relationships within the club. We’ve released some of the tension in terms of going after Tara — she is being guarded by the Prospects, so at least that threat is somewhat diminished — but the emotional impact continues. I don’t think there’ll be a lot of laughter in the next three or four episodes, but perhaps people will breathe a little bit.

    Here’s how I see it..
The Sherrif is gonna turn to some degree and help the club.. The club will find out about Clay but won’t be able to get to him because Unser’s doctoring of Piney’s murder scene will land him in jail. The club will reach out to Otto and lay it all out… Clay killed JT.. Donna… Piney and put the hit on Tara and is using Luann’s killer (Georgy the porn king) to get more money for himself or the club… (Not sure which) and Otto will end up killing Clay fulfilling Gemma’s prophecy that he needs to die at the hand of a Son!!
Best show ever!!! Keep em coming Kurt and crew!!! S.O.A rocks!!!

  2. Kim says:

Love the show ….great writing ….. look forward to Tuesday nights..It’s got Emmy written all over it!!!!!!!

  3. donna brunson says:

I have been watching SOA since the beginning. I love the show and I am always telling everyone about it and get others to get into it. Now a large part of my family watches. I would love it if you had longer seasons like Bones and Supernatural you definately have the fan support for it. Well keep up the awesome work. I love the consistant yet ever changing journey of the show.

  4. mark says:

absolutely great show (and great episode),but how many times can the law confront juice in front of the club without members getting suspicious? I think once was pushing the line, but every episode since the initial contact?C’mon ,SamCro would have taken him out by now just on principle.

    • J.T. says:

They wouldn’t touch a newly patched Men of Mayhem member without a vote. Bikers are always being screwed with by the cops (in this case Sheriff), so no I don’t think they are catching on. Chibs, senses something but Juice and he have history and brotherhood. But in a way you’re right too, things will come out but I think Juice will survive, until the finale that is.

  5. J.T. says:

Obviously this is one of the best programs to ever be shown on television. I’m glad it has survived. FX, AMC, and HBO are the best in the business when it comes to shows that keep you on the edge of your seat. Without SOA I’m afraid we would have missed something special in the entertainment world. Charlie Hunnam is one of those actors that come around once in a generation (I never knew he wasn’t a true blue American), he provides an edge to the show. Let’s not forget Hellboy himself (Ron Perlman), talk about villains, WOW!

I hope for at least one more season, because I think there’s one more way to take this HELL OF A SHOW to bring it full circle. Bless you Otto(I mean Kurt Sutter), keep on keepin on.

  6. Katie says:

I think they all need oscars, the episode with Tara and Jax after her surgery, whew, brought me to tears, no way out is very scary. Now for Clay and Gemma, bring on the next show!! Brilliant writing and if you know some biker clubs, runs so close to real life. We can’t wait for our Sons every week, thanks for some decent tv.

  7. icea says:

I love your show been a fan since the first episode and I hope the show lasts for a lifetime

  8. Steve says:

The whole premise of this show is its about an outlaw motorcycle gang, doing what they have to do for each other. Now we see that absolute power corrupts absolutely, and greed turns brother against brother. Its still a fictional story, no matter how you look at it, people!

  9. Donna W says:

I love this show better get out of my way on Tuesday nights. I think that Tera should stay alive. One day Gimma needs to be delt with and Tera is the one to do that. Tera will become another strong woman on the show and I think the old cop and gimma had something going on in the past. OP needs to be the one who kills Clay because he killed Donna and his dad. So OP is the son who needs to kill Clay off. If not killed off sent to prison for many years or in a comma. Poor juice needs to tell the club about what happened and come clean I think they will forgive him and he will become stronger. the mexicans omg should never be trusted Jax needs to Jax needs to clean the club back up but I think its gonna be a while before that happends. the black cop needs to start working with the club like the old cop did. and some punishment needs to come to the FBI agnet im my opion… The black club needs to back Samcrow and start workign together. Tera needs to stay….to handle Gimma

  10. Tiffany says:

I totally agree!!! I hate between seasons :( This show is amazingly done :)

  11. steve says:

No, this show doesnt represent any motorcycle clubs. Its fiction, plain and simple. A motorcycle club is about brotherhood, about doing things for each other, to protect each other, not about greed and deception. A REAL brother wouldnt do what Clay has done to Tera or Jax.

  12. Matt says:

(Woops, dambed smart phones!) and all the others like them, & just go with whatever actors/actresses the darts hit? Do they then take those pictures to a focus group of teen & preteen girls & boys, & ask the girls if they think the guys are dreamy & ask the boys if the girls are steamy? And that’s how choose their movie casts?” These movies also make you ask yourself, or whoever you just saw the movie with “Is it me or would that movie have been far better with an R rating?” Or, “Don’t you think that movie would be better with a better cast?” With speed with which today’s movies make it from the theaters to the DVD market & OnDemand PPV on satellite & cable as well as his fast they get to HBO/Showtime/Cinemax/Starz/Epix as well as basic cable like FX & TNT, it seems that the studios don’t need to worry so much about losing the under 17 theater revenues for movies today! It used be that teens had to wait for the cool R movies to come out on video/DVD or more so wait until they may it HBO & the like on cable, if their parents wouldn’t take them to see those R movies. Nowadays parents have loosened up about letting kids under 17 watch R movies. Even kids who’s parents don’t let them watch R movies can still get access to see them much easier & much quicker once they’ve left theatrical release than in the past. So the studios will still make plenty of money if they get back to making movies specifically geared toward adults g rate them R! I mean you’ve got movies being dumbed down & diluted just because if they have a certain amount of specific words or lines that contain F words the movie will be given an R instead of a PG13, so the studios force these directors to change their scripts so they sound far less realistic! And when I say that I mean that if those characters were in real life & that scene was actually playing out they’d be speaking the way real people speak! They wouldn’t be speaking in a PG13 vernacular they’d be speaking in a R possibly NC17 or X rated vernacular! And yes I know that movies & TV shows are mostly works of fiction but, many movies & TV shows base their story lines & plots on realistic scenarios or actual things going on in the world! They use real life to base their fiction on! That’s why lawyers, doctors, law enforcement officers, soldiers, pilots, scientists, & historians are hired as & can make a very good living as movie & tv consultants! They’re use so that tv & movies are as realistic as possible! Yes, I know I’ve been rambling! So thanks if you’ve made it this far, very sorry for going off on a tangent! Now to get back to my tv point. We’re now seeing just how stifled TV writers have been! Now that there are other options for TV shows than just the big 4 networks we’ve seen an explosion of masterful dramatic & comedic tv writing! Ironically enough these fictional dramas that are doing so well & are so devoutly followed are far more realistic than the reality TV we’re forced & told we should like & beg for more! Now, I will admit I do have a few guilty pleasures in the reality TV genre but they’re few and far between! And none of them are about housewives or orange people that like making complete fools of themselves in every possible way! The true measure of a talented writing staff & a collective creative force on dramatic tv shows such as Sons Of Anarchy (and when I say collective creative force I mean the entire cast & crew) is that they can take a cast of lesser/unknown actors, character actors (well known or not so well know but seen in everything), B/C level famous actors, & actors that have palyed 1or2 well know characters that they will forever be identified as & they’ve probably lost out on many a role in tv & movies because casting directors or producers & studio heads or even directors can’t see them as or believe audiences won’t believe them as anything but their trademark character, yet on a show such as SOA these actors are allowed to truly show the depth of there acting talent & skill! Often times these actors with the help of an amazing writing staff can deliver performances in a 1hr. TV show that rival any of the performances of the actors up for best actor/actress & supporting actor/actress Academy awards! Sadly I know this is the case with SOA! I say sadly because I love SOA & many of it’s brethren of cable tv dramas but, as we all know many of these shows creators have a set trajectory in mind for these masterpieces when the 1st episode hits the airwaves if not long before they’re even picked up by a network! This is often because they are often written in such a realistic style that their characters eventually will have to reach a breaking point of some fashion or the series has to come to a head! This is because if these characters were really living these lives in real life they’d never be able to live that type of life forever! They’d inevitably reach a breaking point of some kind where the wave they’ve been riding will crest & then come crashing down! That is what we are watching now on SOA & what we’ve been watching from episode 1! They started the series with the club riding the wave & just reaching the crest! Kurt Sutter & the crew have crafted a masterful work of art made up of multiple works of art in the form of every episode they’ve produce! I can only hope that possibly we could see a SOA prequel series when SOA ends! I think it would make for a good series to see the creation of the Sons & what lead to the death of JT & how Gemma&Clay took over the SOA empire & show some of the lead up to the point of the club reaching the crest of the wave! I know will probably won’t happen but the one thing I know is when SOA is done I will be chomping at the bit for the next Sutter Ink production! At least we know Sons Of Anarchy will not over stay it’s welcome or jump the shark! Thank You to anyone who read this all the way through!

  13. Angela W says:

Clay needs to have the “ish” beat out of him and left in a swamp to die slowly. He should be set on fire and his open, pus, infected filled wounds and raw peeling, aching beat up body lay there for days unattended. Gemma should come by in a day or two and if he’s still alive, pour amonia on him and take a puff on her smokes and walk off. Leaving him to Kiss her a _ _

  14. Bobby fisher says:

Did you see Gemma’s eye…. Damn!!!!!! To those out there knocking the violent part of this or any episode, this is a show about a MC that makes there money selling weapons and drugs…. This is what these guys do for a living (on the show). Violence to women, though wrong as it maybe, still happens. I think that tne guys who wrote this show did a stellar job of showing it… In the end, people or kids walk away from watching it thinking clay, or the skin head (played by the one and only Henry Rollins) is a dink. I guess is what im saying is that its not glorified. At least not the violence to women… This is my ALL time favorite show!!!!!!!!!

  15. Matt says:

    Very well said!

  16. i hope jemma kills clay and i hope they dont kill tara ….

  17. Shaun says:

I think that it should come down to Jax and opie dealing with clay for their loved ones He has killed… This is what I picture, since Jax wants out of the club because of His family and Opie has become closer to the club since the death of His wife and also since they are like brothers, I think Opie will be the one to kill Clay and become head of the club and Jax will get to walk away free to start His life over with Terra and their kids. Just a though on how it could play out, but I guess We will see?

  18. Mike says:

Didn’t Gemma use Clay to get rid of Jax Dad? Gemma is selfish and no Saint. Not that she deserved it but Clay had years of rage built up in him from Gemma’s manipulating things…
    Great writing and drama!.

  19. John says:

Kurt Sutter Is just an absolute genius! great writing and even better choice in actors and acting….the only thing i saw differently was clay was getting mad when he got caught…and the reaction was further intensified when gemma brought up the kids getting hurt….i saw it as alot of guilt….then he just snapped (well thats how i saw it anyway) …it was all words until she almost shot him in the face…she technically threw the first punch i just saw it as shame and guilt….then he just snapped.but i mean really…ask yourself…what would you do if someone almost shot you in the face?

the only thing i dont have a guess on…is who gets to clay….and how..or is he gonna run away…well great writing kurt….youve got me guessin…i can see a fight coming between all the people who have reasons…i think opie’s got the biggest claim, dad and wife…but he did beat jax’s mom n try to kill his fiancee…but he thinks it was the lobos…wow…too many questions, keep us guessing,….great job BEST SHOW ON TV period

  20. Matt says:

I agree with you completely Terri!

  21. Junito says:

Hands Down Best Show I’ve Seen, Within My 30 Years of life! Hook Since season One!!! I love clay but hate him at the same time! He will Get What’s Coming For him But Not This season! Awards To All Who Made this show possible! And To Sutter Love You Man! S.O.A. Is Crack! Keep Up The good work!! Hope Jax Gets To Kill Clay While The Whole Sons Watches!!!

  22. Amber says:

Love the show i like all the twist and turns its taking cant wait for next weeks show

  23. kristi says:

Love SONS best show ever! Another good show is Prime Suspect.

  24. HARLEYCHICK says:

The show is awesome and i do believe that

  25. rosemary says:

i do think clay needs to be taken out, if not maybe something to get him back to the “old” clay! i would love to see gemma put a bullet in him, but she said a son has to do it, so maybe both jax & opie, or all the guys doing it “st. valentines day massacre” style….. if he stays or goes you can bet i’ll be watching! love the show, thanks kurt!

  26. gloria says:

KILL CLAY!!!!that show will really get so much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. Teach31 says:

We do not know yet how and if Gemma will retaliate against Clay. I’m thinking she will not allow Clay to treat her in this violent way. Her payback could rival that of Lisbeth Salander. (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). The members of the club revere Gemma and when Jax, Bobby, Tig, and the others learn what Clay did to her, they will also want to get their revenge. She is a mother figure to them all and more than once they have risked their lives to protect her life. Things are heating up for the finale in a few weeks and as has happened in previous seasons, the twist and turns will leave us shocked and cursing the long wait until next season. Please lengthen your season.

  28. Eileen says:

Hoping Jax finds out about the letters from JT and Opie and Jax run the club into a new direction! I hope Gemma gets to bitch slap Clay!

  29. Martina says:

Couldn’t believe Clay hit Gema it was very intense their performance was excellent but I don’t want the show to end I hope Clay can come back from the dark side

  30. The Squatch says:

I understand Tara being upset about the injuries to her hand and what such nerve damage will mean for her career as a surgeon. However, she is still a doctor and can continue to be one without performing surgeries, so she will always have her medical career as a “way out” since doctors are always needed somewhere.

  31. Lainie says:

It occurred to me last night that Clay’s actions come from fear – an explanation not an excuse. I’m still hating his guts right now. Kurt Sutter is a genius & you never know what diabolical twist he’ll take. It’s why this show is so good – along with great writing, GREAT acting & Kurt’s loyalty to the fans of the show. I want to move to Charming to hang out with these people – but I’d be scared to death the whole time.

  32. Martina says:

I don’t agree Clay is important to the show he is the father and Gamma is the mother of the club

  33. Excon says:

Great comments , just shows that kurt has wrote something that brings the best and worst feelings out of us , if u truly watch the show how can u not get emotional. I look foward to this everyweek ive never watched a show like this or wanted to great job kurt this is one of a kind and will be a lomg time till we see anything like this again .

  34. Catrina says:

Clay can never be trusted! But I don’t think he should die I think he should actually end up like Chucky or something like that “if you can’t ride you don’t vote” not riding and not being able to rule is a fate worse than death for Clay.

  35. Kimi says:

I understand what u mean about fans nt separating actors from the characters they play & hopefully Ron won’t suffer for his portrayal of Clay..I love Ron!.. he’s an awesome actor!

  36. DrkStr says:

Wouldn’t it be awesome if Clay went to kill tara himself and Gemma followed him and killed him. I think it would be an even better story line then Jax doing the deed. Gemma is such a strong woman, and although she has loved Clay he has proven that he is destructive beyond retribution. Although his trying to call off the hit because Jax and the boys were with Tara made it seem that he really does care about some things. Either way it is kind of sad because Clay has been a great character. Samcro has a lot of directions to go still. I cant wait to see what transpires.

  37. Bbs says:

I appreciate the scene with Clay and Gemma. I have had a man hit me like that before and it definitely brought out some emotions in me, but I came out of the situation a much stronger and aware person. I think Gemma will come out on top. She is very much a BAMF! This won’t slow her down even a little. She’s a fighter! I think the chances of SOA being the most epic show EVER!!! are about 100% Thank you Kurt for making Tuesday night the best night of the week!

  38. SOA is one of the best shows ever. I make it a point to come home and watch it every tuesday no matter what. Last nights episode was intense I hope Jax and Opi deal with clay cause he is very reckless and its sending samcro in the wrong direction. Clay trying to kill Terra and beating Gemma was wrong he does not care about any one but his self, his family morals are very screwed up, its time for clay to take his medicine and pay the piper or jax and opi can give it to him he always hurts every one around him now its time for karma to pay his a*# a visit

  39. DrkStr says:

I see the Eli Rosavelt (the new cop in town) coming around to play some part in turning the feds angle sour, and helping jax take control of the club. Maybe Clay doesn’t have to die, and just has to take the rap for all the dirty stuff going on, and Eli could help that come to fruition. This would take the agreement off the table with the cartel, and maybe there could be a new storyline that helps samcro grow a better relationship with Jax and the irish.

  40. bern says:

Ummmmm yep i think they have……..We all love the show as it takes us into the life these guy’s live so of cause this has to be written, whether we like it or not…This stuff does happin in motorcycle clubs…..

  41. Adora says:

    @ snake530406

I think you should rewatch the episode. Yeah she pulled a gun. He probably out weights her by 70 lbs, he’s very recently killed a member of his club, put out a hit on Tara and told Gemma she’s just ‘an old lady’. I’d pull a gun on him too. And he actually hit her first, she just followed up with a roundhouse, a good tactic when you know someone is going to start wailing on you. The shot might be good enough to let you get away.

Her pulling a gun doesn’t excuse him beating her like he did once the gun was no longer art of the equation.

  42. Mike says:

I think it will be the old sherriff,also..Clay beat the love of his life..and he has more insight than anyone to Clay’s dark nature..

  43. Helen says:

I want to say that my heart goes out to all the ladies who were ever abused. This is the most awesome show I have watched in a while and it
Is entertainment so if you are affended just don’t watch the show, please don’t spoil it for the viewers who do watch by all of your negative comments. The show is written by a man who is truly a talented individual who keeps his audience on the edge of their seats which I think we have lacked on TV for a while. Please let this show continue for the long haul!

  44. annita says:

when gemma said a son. i think she will hold a meet and spill on clay to all the samcro and as i think i remember someone else got done for killing a club member. so i believe all the sons will have something to do with the death of clay. i watch religiously and hate the breaks in betweeen. im holding onto my seat for every episode. and jax, hmmmm hot thing. definately emmy or oscar material. which ever one it is. kurt sutter is the bomb. thanks for making such a great show. absolutely loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it.

  45. Gino says:

I think SOA is one of the best shows on TV. That said I don’t see how Clay can stay as alive. The cartel has already lied to Clay. Romeo could have stopped the hit. Now the cartel isn’t going to stop until Tara is dead. So the upcoming episodes will be interesting. It’s only the 4th season and I really believe that the story line is going way too fast. Now with Drea DeMateo coming back if the cartel kills her thinking she is Tara that could work. I don’t think Jax will be able to deal with losing Tara. At least not according to the story line. They are too close

  46. Linda says:

I love this show, If it evver gets cancelled im gonna be so maddd. and they have to have a bad guy in it and clay is it. but i think he should get his from Jax an Jemma an Tara. i hope they hold all that over him so he will have to step down and let jax be head of it and he has to do what ever they want him to do! and he wont be able to do anything without permission that would really make him mad, i would love to see Jemma get someone else whos good to her and clay cant stand it . that would be gooood

  47. melanie says:

Fantastic episode. My opinion of Gemma stating that Clay will go down by the hand of the son means she is gonna have the club take him out. There is no way the club would llet him get away with what all he has done. Just my opinion. I absolutely love this show. I

  48. John says:

I have a feeling that the club will try to kill clay but will fail when clay is arrested for the Rico case they have against them, but I may be wrong, that just seems to be bringing that case up alot this season.

  49. owlmother says:

Watching Clay beat on Gemma brought back painful mememories of my first marriage. It was hard to watch, even harder when you have been beaten by a man. It is just a TV show, but written like life can be, sometimes dark and ugly. Final thought…karma is a bitch.
