Franklin & Bash Scoop: Mom's the Word for Jane Seymour! Plus: Peter Weller Will Rock

TNT’s Franklin & Bash is courting guest stars galore as it ramps up production on Season 2.

For one, TVLine has learned that Jane Seymour, a Golden Globe winner during her six-season shift as Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (as well as for the TV mini East of Eden), will visit the legal dramedy as the freewheeling, indecisive Earth Mom of Mark Paul Gosselaar’s Peter Bash.

We can also report that Peter Weller (aka Robocop) is set to guest-star in an episode as a reclusive rock star whose estranged son is being evicted from a Hollywood music club he created. In that same episode, 14-time Emmy nominee Beau Bridges (Brothers & Sisters, The Closer) will reprise his role of Leonard Franklin as Jared faces off against his father in the courtroom.

Seymour’s recent TV credits include an episode of Castle and Hallmark’s series of Dear Prudence movies, while Weller appeared in a Season 5 arc on Dexter and a December 2010 episode of Psych.

Franklin & Bash‘s sophomore run will launch sometime in the summer of 2012.
