FX Extends Sons of Anarchy's Fourth Season
FX is extending Sons of Anarchy‘s ratings-rich fourth season by adding a 14th episode.
“Creatively, this has been Sons’ best and biggest season ever,” FX executive vice president Nick Grad said in making the announcement. “[Series creator] Kurt [Sutter] asked us to consider adding an extra episode to fully close this current chapter of the Sons saga. By adding the extra episode, it wraps up a magnificent season in extraordinary fashion. This is a real bonus for fans of the series.”
FX — which last month renewed the gritty drama for a fifth season — will now air Sons‘ Season 4 finale on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 10/9c.
Sons of Anarchy‘s Theo Rossi Details SAMCRO’s ‘Murky’ Future
The news comes as a bit of a surprise given that just last week Sutter tweet-vented that though the season-ender contains what he called three episodes’ worth of story, the network was unable to accommodate “a 2-hour finale” or “extend our season [because] programming [is] already set.” Guess SAMCRO came out on top again.
