The Game Drafts Rockmond Dunbar for Major Arc

Get More: Casting News, Scoop

BET’s The Game has recruited Sons of Anarchy lawman Rockmond Dunbar for a major arc.

“I just signed on to do six to eight episodes of The Game,” the actor revealed on Wednesday during a conference call to promote his FX hit. Dunbar will reprise the role of Pookie, a character he played back in a 2009 episode. “He’s a very interesting guy and so much fun,” he added with a laugh.

The Game Plans Sister, Sister Reunion

Dunbar’s other recent TV credits include the unceremoniously axed Terriers, The Closer and of course Prison Break.

The Game was renewed earlier this year for a 22-episode fifth season, which is slated to premiere in January.

  • Is he coming back as cousin Pookie (I think his name was Pookie) or someone different?

  • I could not stand this actor in Prison Break but have really enjoyed him in Terriers and SoA.

And I would not consider this casting as a sign he is getting killed on SoA. I have to assume that filming for this season of SoA is either already wrapped or very close to wrapping.
