Exclusive Castle First Look: Nathan Fillion Reunites With Drive Co-Star Kristin Lehman

Awkward threesome alert!

Castle‘s Oct. 17 episode finds Nathan Fillion reconnecting with his Drive leading lady Kristin Lehman, and judging the first look pics below, Beckett (Stana Katic) is having none of their little reunion.

Castle‘s Stana Katic Opens Up About Kate Being Crazy in Love with Rick

“There is fun to be had in that episode with the Castle and Beckett relationship, for sure,” showrunner Andrew W. Marlowe recently told TVLine’s Matt Mitovich, referring to The Killing actress’ guest stint as a sexy art insurance investigator. “Anytime a very attractive woman has her eye on Castle, and with Castle being the kind of guy he is, it makes for some interesting sparks.”

  1. If Stana had gained as much weight as Nathan has, they’d have fired her or sent her character on vacation. Unless they’ve hired you to be a non-sexual overweight character, you are supposed to maintain the image created for you. Nate is fat and as such does not look like a romantic lead. He gets paid beaucoup bucks so he can afford to keep himself looking good. If actresses are held to such a rigid, and admittedly unfair standard, so should actors. When I look at him now, his beefy-ness is distracting. I don’t care what anyone says: his weight has destroyed his profile and he looks 10 years older.

I have never heard of Firefly, nor had I heard of Nathan Fillion before Castle came along. It worth noting that Firefly occurred 10 years ago. That would put Mr. Fillion in his early 30’s. I don’t know what the premise of Firefly was. I can only speculate (according to the fans’ statements). According to my speculations he has aged out the the roll as well as gained too much weight to be a leading man. He is not aging well. Castle is his last shot as leading man and he is lucky to be cast before his present appearance happened. He does remind me of the doughboy. He no longer fits the Beckett character. He is too puffy, has a gut, jackets are too tight, has a double chin. He is not sexy. For someone as beautiful as Beckett(Stana Katic) he looks pathetic. She will probably age like Angelina Jolie, who looks like a stick figure, but she still can prortray sexy. I see character actor in his future. Good Luck.

Bottom Line:HE’S GAINED WEIGHT!!! The reality is that if he gains anymore weight I will no longer be able to buy into he and Beckett.

I feel you Lisa! Somebody do something. There very few good shows on network TV. PS. I hate ‘reality shows’
