Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on Glee, Gossip Girl, Grey's, Castle, SVU, Bones, Community and More!

Got a scoop request? An anonymous tip you’re dying to share? Just want to say hi? Send any/all of the above to askausiello@tvline.com

Question: Will Quinn be meeting her daughter soon on Glee? —Cindy
Ausiello:
Considering the fact that Idina Menzel (a.k.a. the kid’s adoptive mother, Shelby) is returning for a major arc, I think it’s probably a safe bet that Quinn (and possibly baby daddy Puck) will cross paths with their daughter at some point. But the $1 million dollar question is whether the inevitable reunion will awaken any maternal feelings in the teen mom. If the buzz I heard at Sunday’s Emmys is to be believed, it will. And my guess is that can only mean one thing: Quinn’s going to want her baby back baby back baby back.

Question: Any scoop about Glee‘s Karofsky? —Dalanda
Ausiello:
He’s baaaaaack! Or at least he will be come late October, when Kurt has a very awkward run-in with him at a [SPOILER ALERT] gay bar.

Question: I am still dying after watching the season premiere of Castle. Please give us some spoilers on upcoming episodes! —Cheryl
Ausiello:
As if his issues with Beckett weren’t enough to keep him up at night, Castle is going to have his hands full with another woman in his life this season: daughter Alexis. “She’s testing the limits — and where we take her in the next couple of episodes allows her to push the limits even more,” previews series creator Andrew W. Marlowe. “It was always my intent to have Alexis be a good girl and not do anything crazy — we don’t expect her to become a drug addict — but we do get to see that [father/daughter friction] and other issues that she’s wrestling with. She’s at an age where girls struggle with their identity and with relationships, so we have all of that material to play with.”

Question: Any Castle scoop? As much as I love Beckett and Castle, I’d love some news on anything relating to Ryan and Esposito. —Mere
Ausiello:
“This season there is going to be a ‘boys night’ episode [airing Nov. 7],” reveals Jon Huertas (aka Esposito). “Castle and Esposito probably want to show Ryan a good time before he gets ‘locked up’ [in marriage]!” So, where might the guys go for their manly merriment? “Atlantic City isn’t that far from New York,” Huertas hints, “so I imagine we’d try to go there and see how dirty we can get.”

Question: I’m a “Dair” fan, I must admit. Do you have an scoopage on my favorite Gossip Girl storyline? —Nova
Ausiello:
I’m hearing rumblings about a second kiss early in the season, but I don’t know when it occurs or what the context is. But does it really matter? A kiss is still a kiss.

Question: I’m still in denial that Chris Meloni is not returning to Law & Order: SVU. Do you have any more intel on how Stabler’s absence will be addressed? —Kim
Ausiello:
In an early scene of Wednesday’s premiere, it’s mentioned that he’s “still out.” And because of ongoing developments regarding the shooting he was involved in, it is said that he will have to jump through “a lot of hoops” if he wants to return to the job. (And by the way, that’s a big “if.”) It all leads to one of Mariska Hargitay’s most gut-wrenching scenes ever.

Question: When is Cougar Town returning? —Poonam
Ausiello:
Best case scenario sounds like November, per Bill Lawrence. Worst case scenario is January. (Fingers crossed the BCS wins out.) Meanwhile, a little casting scooplet to tide you over: Relative newcomer Briga Heelan has been cast as the very young woman Grayson (unwittingly) impregnated years ago. As I reported in last week’s AA, mother and daughter will be sticking around for quite a few episodes, which means Jules may want to consider trading Big Carl in for a 10-gallon IV drip.

Question: What’s the latest on Netflix or Syfy picking up The Event and doing a wrap-up miniseries? Have you heard anything new in the rumor mill?  —Eric
Ausiello:
Event leading man (and current Parenthood star) Jason Ritter told me Sunday at Entertainment Tonight’s post-Emmy bash that the project still has a pulse. “I’m waiting to get a phone call either way,” he said. “[Producers] Nick Wauters and Steve Stark are still talking to people and trying to get it done. Every cast member I’ve talked too is interested. And I personally would love to at least finish that story up.”

Question: Any Parenthood scoop concerning Sarah and Mark? I love them together! —Mimi
Ausiello:
Well, then you might not like what I’m about to tell you: There’s trouble ahead, and it involves the return of Sarah’s ex, played by John Corbett. “She’s trying to balance Mark and her new life with this man that she has very complicated feelings for,” Ritter explains of Corbett’s Seth. “This is the father of her children and she loves him in certain ways. But she also wants to start anew, and she’s not sure that Mark can take on everything that’s in her life. It’s really interesting. It’s that great thing that Parenthood does. It’s not overly dramatic. It’s just real life.”

Question: I am dying for some Justified scoop. Got any? —Dayna
Ausiello:
Boyd Crowder is so over playing Mr. Nice Guy. According to portrayer Walton Goggins, the old Boyd “will be back in full [in Season 3], and he will probably be in trouble sooner rather than later. There is no more shyness or healing to Boyd Crowder.”

Question: Modern Family! Scoop me, Ausiello! —Jason
Ausiello:
This November, the Emmy-winning comedy will introduce viewers to a little phenomenon known as Pumpkin Chunkin. “It’s when you take a pumpkin, attach a bungee cord and send it flying,” explains Nolan Gould (Luke) of the unusual competition, which serves as the centerpiece of the show’s Thanksgiving episode. “I’m on the [team] with Julie Bowen, Ed O’Neil and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. They call us The Dream Squashers… and the rest of them are The Visionaries. We’re the Squashers because we don’t believe that they can chunk a pumpkin. They say they can throw it across a football field and a few of us are like, ‘Nuh-uh.'”

Question: So, are we getting a Bones midseason finale à la the In Plain Sight Season 4 finale? You know, Mary, the very last scene, a long hiatus… —Amanda
Ausiello:
If you’re asking me whether Brennan will go into labor in this season’s sixth episode (the last one before the break), the answer is no. Although exec producer Stephen Nathan says the episode serves to both “introduce the new serial killer and feature another event with Booth and Brennan,” said event is not pregnancy-related. David Boreanaz confirmed as much to me Sunday at the Emmys when he divulged that the episode will reveal where Booth and Brennan will be living. “It’s very funny,” he said. “It’s not your normal place.”

Question: I heard Angela’s dad is returning to Bones this season. Got any scoop? —Anne
Ausiello:
Billy Gibbons is back for an episode “to see his grandson,” confirms Nathan. “He comes in at a very difficult time for Hodgins and Angela: The baby doesn’t sleep, and they don’t want to keep the baby up any more than the baby already is up.”

Question: Any update on the return of Robin Sparkles on How I Met Your Mother? —Gayle
Ausiello:
No news on the Sparkles front, but exec producer Carter Bays tells TVLine that this season’s 10th episode features “a very funny song that [co-creator] Craig Thomas  wrote. The less I say about it the better.”

Question: Is Community planning any memorable event-type episodes this season? —Tammy
Ausiello:
One would argue that every episode of Community is a memorable event, no? This week’s season premiere — featuring some kind of mysterious musical sequence — certainly sounds like it has the potential to be an instant classic. “I wanted to start the season with something special,” teases series creator Dan Harmon of the musical interlude. “And it represents an important part of the story — it’s not just there for flash. The best way to perceive that scene is as a surprise, it’s that good. It’s really just a quick snippet, but it’s fun.”

Question: Any Season 3 Community scoop? —Chris
Ausiello:
Harmon is making good on his promise to show viewers more of the Greendale gang’s home life. In this season’s seventh episode, we’ll again visit Annie’s creepy apartment building. Why creepy? Because her landlord is a freak show and the first floor of her building is a porn palace.

Question: Do we know what brings Jackson’s mother to Grey’s Anatomy? —Cary
Ausiello:
We do, and it’s gonna make you giggle. Mama Avery (played by Debbie Allen) shows up at Seattle Grace to perform a — pause for dramatic effect — penis transplant. Not surprisingly, there’s a long line of residents fighting hard to get in on the surgery, but the competition is stiff.

Question: I’m so excited for the new season of The Good Wife to start! Please tell me you have something new and juicy to tide me over until Sunday! —Christine
Ausiello:
Glenn Childs will be back! Titus Welliver’s ousted State’s Attorney returns in Episode 7, at which point we’ll learn that the little weasel has a new job — at the Dept. of Justice.

Question: I’d like some scoop on The Middle, the most underrated show on TV. —Carlos
Ausiello:
Axl is converting to Judaism! In an attempt to avoid taking a Spanish exam, he tells his teacher he’s Jewish and can’t attend school because he’s observing “The Schmala.” (That reminds me of the time in middle school when I stabbed myself in the eye with a pencil in order to get home in time for Bo and Hope’s wedding. Ah, memories.)

Question: Just wanted to thank you for answering my Nikita question in last week’s Ask Ausiello. —Siobhan
Ausiello:
You’re welcome! There’s another scoop coming your way! You know how Nikita faked her death to escape Division way back when? Well, exec producer Craig Silverstein tells us that a Season 2 episode will take us back to “the actual mission she did it on, and the consequences it left behind for another agent.” Something tells me this is the other agent he speaks of.

That’s a wrap! Please send questions, comments, and anonymous tips to askausiello@tvline.com. Also, you can keep track of my scoops on Twitter via @MichaelAusiello. Thanks for playing! (Additional reporting by Meg Masters and Vlada Gelman)

That kiss is going to be fake! Dan is so pathetic. He’ll never get Blair because he really wants to bang Nate!

  3. Well! says:

    YAY FOR DB!

@GIRLSSS stay mad and stay pressed HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  4. Dora says:

DB. yeah, I just threw up in my mouth. Tell me when Chair comes back so I won’t be sick during this show anymore.

  5. russian says:

I am excited about this…DB is the only thing I’m looking forward to this season! You’re right, Ausiello…who cares about the context, a KISS IS STILL A KISS!! <3 <3 <3

  6. Nikki says:

Gossip Girl can go to hell until Chuck and Blair are back together.

  7. topoopon says:

    It’s “Punkin Chunkin'”! see: http://www.punkinchunkin.com

  8. AngelMoonGirl says:

Thanks so much for the Bones/Castle scoop! Can’t wait!
On that note, got any NCIS hiding up your sleeve? After that great premiere, I’d love something about Tony/Ziva…

  9. Abby says:

Blair would only kiss Dan again if he was dreaming about it. Dream on Dan, she and Chuck are soul mates!

    • Becky says:

Yep, Chuck and Blair are soulmates just like Joey and Dawson were.

      Oh, wait….

      • kendallf says:

lmfao what? joey and dawson relationship is like dan and blair u know the two that always set in there room together and watch romantic movies together but were never became anything romantic and thinking he knows blair better than chuck just like dawson thought he knew joey better than pacey.Dawson(dan) that judgemental whiny guy who thinks he better than everyone who was also a writer and makes romantic movies. he ways falling for every girl that shows interest in him. When joey had sex with dawson the first time she was not satisfied just like blair kissed dan for the first time and was grossed out and said kissing him was like kissing her brother. so yeah not to mention dawson ended up with know one at the end of the series.

        • Alison says:

          No.

Joey and Dawson’s relationship was written as an all-consuming, soulmate love, as people who have known each other their entire lives. Throughout the entire series, they were written as the people who will always come back to each other (although they didn’t – originally written as endgame, there was a last minute change as the staff realized that there was no other plausible and well-written ending than to have Pacey and Joey end up together). This relationship was much like Chair’s. Also, Chuck is the one that thinks he knows Blair better than anyone (“No one understands what we have!”, “She’s mine!”, etc etc etc). AND as for your point that Dan “ways falling for every girl that shows interest in him”, um, that is Chuck to a T. He slept with Jenny. His step-sister. Because she was there, basically. And let’s not forget that Eva is an angel and Raina is sacred.

Pacey and Joey, however, formed a relationship that mostly involved bickering, but while they were both trying to get over their exes, they formed a friendship. It was clear that there was something lurking under the surface as they grew closer together, to even have them go to each other when they normally wouldn’t (Joey calling Pacey to pick her up in Boston, Blair showing up at the loft multiple times as if she didn’t have somewhere else to be). This culminates in a kiss in both relationships, lots of confused feelings and denial, the constant “What about Dawson/Chuck/Serena!”. Not to mention that both Pacey and Dan are the outsiders in their group of friends.

Sorry for the novel, but it seemed egregious to leave this uncommented on.

          • Jess says:

lol @ how none of the CB fans have anything to say. They know they’re wrong and the only reason they ship them is because CB are so “hot” and how they have to adhere to the endgame.

        • Liz says:

Dawson and Joey explicitly said they were soul mates ad nauseum. While their HS relationship wasn’t sexual, it was still a significant high school relationship for them.

I think the main point was that almost anyone who watched Dawson’s Creek learned to hate the term soul mates because Joey and Dawson used it so much to refer to their relationship. Joey and Pacey did break up initially largely because they couldn’t get past the Dawson/soul mate crap. But, in the end we know how that ended.

Just because characters even say they’re soul mates explicitly doesn’t mean they’re end game.

  10. mags says:

I guess Dan is fantasizing about Blair when she’s pregnant with Chuck’s baby? Eh, I just want Chair and I think I’ll get it!

  11. bella says:

    Thanks for the Bones scoop.

I’m taking Gossip Girl off of my DVR. I can’t take DB in any form because i’m a chair fan til the end.

  12. Holly says:

Im actually really excited about the Dan and Blair kiss. I really used to love Chuck and Blair….but oh my god they got really annoying and old. He pimped her out for a hotel. Bring on Dair!

  13. Jenkins says:

I need to stop reading Justified spoilers and just watch! Hate myself for doing that all the time but it’s so tempting.

I stopped watching gossip girl with Dan and Blair because I’m faithfiul to Blair and Chuck so I’m glad I made that decision. It looks like it’s just getting worse for that show.

  14. Rhett says:

This whole DB SL is getting pretty annoying, The writers must really be out of ideas to be promoting this garbage! No body really want this except select few and its just showing how down hill this show really has gone . Bring on some CHAIR!!!!

  15. Angie says:

Blair and Chuck is all I have to say.

  16. meg says:

Aw, man, I hope cougartown gets back on air soon!

Annie’s building has a porn palace? Can’t wait.

Dan and Blair kiss??? Squee! This makes my day, thanks ausiello!

  17. Karen says:

Thanks so much for the Dair spoiler Ausiello!! I’m excited to see how this kiss goes down. And I’m sorry that your comment section is once again being spammed by Chucktans. I see death threats coming to the GGWriters way also lol

    • Lisal says:

It’s Karen again. This chick is psycho , no kidding.People hate Dair get over it already and grow up. Chuck and Blair are the only thing the public cares for Dary airers.

      • Karen says:

You can call me psycho all you want lol….I don’t send death threats to people. I leave that to the insane Chuckstans. I you should grow up and stop whining like a baby when you don’t get your way. Obviously it’s only some Chair fans who hate Dair, but it’s obvious they have fans who support them so back up with your hatered. I’m sure you’ll reply again to complain about all things Dair and ratings, but I’m in a great mood with my Dair KISS so bye bye.

        • Karen is scary says:

Someone is a little weird. I don’t see anyone threatening anyone here so I haven’t a clue what you speak of. I think people just don’t really like Dair and are voicing it I’m actually among them and watching Dair look really dumb and desperate will be great. I think you might want to take some medication for when Chair are back and Blair is having Chuck’s baby. That’s gonna hurt. Toodles.

          • Karen says:

Toodles to you too!! Your name is so original by the way. I’m sure it took a lot of brain power to come up with it ;) Oh, and the death threats I speak of the GG writers and Chair fans know about. Also, I won’t ever need medication for fictional characters, but I’m sure some of the Chuckstans will need it if Blair turns out NOT to be preggers. Dair KISS… Can’t wait, real or not :)

          • S says:

I love Karen! she has balls.
Would love nothing more than to see your face when it turns out BLAIR IS NOT PREGNANT!!

    • AAnderson says:

This is that Karen from FF. I’ve read her stuff, she’s rather obnoxious and rude. Karen, Blair is pregnant and you’ll have to have one of your meltdowns after that’s confirmed. I don’t like that heinous site but I’ll go there to watch you have a meltdown about Blair being pregnant and when Chuck and Blair get together. That will be more entertaining than watching the show. I might even pop some popcorn.

  18. Canadaho says:

I really only like Blair and Chuck on Gossip girl

  19. JoannaJakes says:

Db makes me a bit ill so I think I’ll fast forward and wait for the real couple on Chuck and Blair to come on screen or maybe I’ll wait for the DVD’s when I know Blair and Chuck will be back.

  20. Celia says:

    BOOOO! I wanted Chair!

  21. LC says:

I want to know if Blair is pregnant? Is it Chuck’s? Dan go jump off the bridge or hook up with your sister or Nate.

  22. amyA says:

I wanted Chuck and Blair news :(

  23. greta says:

Dan get your nasty ass lips away from Blair. She wanted Chuck time get a clue pansy ass Humphrey!

  24. Chair RULES says:

    Goodbye Gossip Girl.

  25. Kate says:

Can’t we at least get a real GG spoiler? This kiss is obviously just some lame dream sequence or something. Not that I want to see Dan anywhere Blair, in his dreams or otherwise.

  26. Angela says:

    No Dair, only Chair!

  27. Brit says:

YAY!!! For the Dair and Castle spoilers. I’m excited about Dan and Blair, and also can’t wait to see Blair as a Bridezilla.

I’m also excited about Quinn seeing her baby =)

  28. Renee says:

Glad to hear the Dan/Blair storyline isn’t being dropped! They’ve been the only worthwhile and entertaining thing about the show since the first season. Don’t waste it!

And dear lord, you Chuck/Blair fans are delusional. Have fun psychotically cheering on an abusive relationship!

    • gretchen says:

Rude much? Chuck and Blair are endgame, Sweetie. You are the delusional one.

      • Renee says:

All this “endgame” business doesn’t really matter. I care more about the stuff that happens during the show. You know, when I’m watching it? Not what happens in the last five minutes of the last episode.

        • AAnderson says:

Chuck and Blair have been on for 3 1/2 seasons and why would someone root for a couple that will lose in the end? That’s so odd to me. Chuck and Blair will get married by the end of series, so I’m good not to turn GG on til then.

  29. gretchen says:

Don’t care about Diar just want my awesome Chair!

  30. Zachary says:

Dave Karofsky in a gay bar–I can’t even begin to fathom how he found himself at that point after last season. Can’t wait to see it!!!

  31. veronica says:

Got all excited for Blair and Chuck for nothing :P On the bright side got all excited for #vampirediariesseason3

  32. kendra says:

Awwww, I wanted Chuck, Blair and Baby Bass news :(

  33. kendallf says:

ahahaha another dair kiss?the fact that they said it will happen proves the kiss is not a big deal. and lmfao at all the delusional dair fans thinking this spoiler means dair endgame when she is dating the prince and in love with chuck not to mention pregnant with his baby. aslo i wish the writers would stop making blair look like whore. how the f**k is she suppose to be in love with dan, chuck(pregnant with baby),and louis at the same time? its so stupid and makes blair look like serena ,dan, and nate all desperate and needy.

    • Scott says:

You forgot to add Chuck to desperate and needy also ;)

    • Dawn says:

The only ones throwing around this endgame business are you Chair fans. And according to your logic, Blair isn’t pregnant–you think that if they tell us about something, it’s isn’t a big deal. The latest promo made it seem like Blair is knocked up with Chuck’s kid. Ergo, since they’re telling us, Blair must not be pregnant with the spawn of Satan.

How hilarious, Blair’s a whore? Chuck’s the most promiscuous character on the show. Oh, but it’s okay, right, because he’s a guy with too much mainpain, right?

      • jody says:

Blair is pregnant. You wish she wasn’t but she is with Chuck’s baby. Keep telling yourself she’s not but she and Chuck are inevitable!

        • Dawn says:

Then apparently Gossip Girl switched genres from teen soap to horror. Seriously, honestly, do you actually think that the writers are going to make Blair have a kid and be a mom? Or have a miscarriage? Or have an abortion? No chance. Not happening. Get over it.

        • Liz says:

I’ve seen no confirmation that Blair is pregnant anywhere. There seems to be a lot of assuming on both ends. I personally hope that neither Blair or Serena is pregnant. Their young girls who shouldn’t be saddled with a kid because that’s what some want. Praying the writers do a big fake out!!

    • Star says:

Well if Blair is a whore, your precious Chuck made her one first when he pimped her out, get mad at him lol

      • vegasbabe says:

You think Blair is a whore. Not cool! Chuck is Blair’s one and only ,honey. Get it straight.

        • Yuck says:

Eww enough with the misogyny. Blair is not a whore, and Chuck does not have to be her one and only to keep her pure. Eww I don’t even know any more with these creepy comments

  34. Chelsea says:

I’m sure the Dair kiss is a dream, but I’m looking forward to it. The Modern family spoiler sounds intriguing, and I can’t wait.

    • Beth says:

Yeah, the Dair kiss is probably that thing E!Online said Dan/Blair fans would ~squeal over. It’s probably either a scheme or a dream.

  35. nina says:

    Dair are yawn worthy. Chair!!!!!!!!!!!!

  36. Deandra says:

I guess GG is just trying to cater to all the fans or something? Because there’s no way the kiss is real, Blair’s not going to kiss Dan when she’s engaged to Louis and pregnant with Chuck’s baby. And it’s really kind of gross that Dan would even be thinking about that, actually.

  37. erin says:

    CHAIR CHAIR CHAIR! ENDGAME!

  38. Pam says:

All I hear is WAH WAH WAH from the Chair fans who are acting like their life is ending. Funny how they complain to the writers about Dairs fans attacking them when their spreading haterade all over the place. CRY me a F***ing river.

Ausiello, PLEASE no more GG spoilers so we don’t have to deal with the fanbase crazkies spamming.

    • britta says:

Dair fans are complaining about that. Wah, wah wah to you. How old are you? 5? I’m sorry, you Dair fans are so insane it’s going to be Chuck and blair in the end and we’re all going to laugh at that and celebrate!

Oh and she’s having Chuck’s baby FYI

      • Pam says:

I’m not a Dair or Chair fan!! I’m just sick of seeing the Chuckstans spamming the comment section with their whining. Blah blah Chair is forever blah blah Chuck wets my panties. And no I’m not 5, please don’t confuse me with your Chair counterparts. And FYI, it’s not spoiled who is having a baby. It will be confirmed on September 26 at the end of the show as Ausiello said boo.

      • Dawn says:

Who cares what happens at the end? Dair fans are more interested in the stuff that happens during the show, not whatever dumb contest you’re all trying to turn this into.

  39. Jennifer says:

I’m officially freaking out over the SVU premiere! I have a feeling I’m gonna cry :'( Thanks so much Ausiello, can’t wait!

  40. Nessa says:

The DB kiss is going to be fake because that’s all DB is, Fake! I’m just in this show for Chuck and blair. Can’t wait for those crazy kids to get back together.

  41. Vegasbabe says:

Gossip Girl is so drab with Bland. I want the hot, sexy, magnetic, beautiful relationship of Blair and Chuck. Nothing else compares to those two.

  42. Anna says:

    CCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRR!

  43. dx says:

    Dair 4 life…

There are about 200 teenagers who want Chair and are really loud about it, but most fans and critics and probably the writers themselves want to see Dan and Blair as they are TV gold- Well written, witty, intelligent and fresh. People shouting out that Blair should always love Chuck and no one else and should have his baby at 21 need to grow up. Its pathetic. When they do grow up they’ll realise how crap that ship was, but the reruns are forever…

    • celia says:

I hate when Dair fand skew facts. Look on twitter Chair fans have 1035 signatures. Dair has 157. yeah, Dair is so popular they can’t beat Chair on twitter signatures PATHETIC

      • Lucy says:

I think the more pathetic thing is to be collecting signatures on Twitter for a fictional couple…

        • BayKay says:

Don’t be a poor loser ,Lucy. I love Dair fans who say how much support they have but when they get shot down they say how pathetic the more popular pairing is. You guys crack me up so much!

        • dx says:

There was this tvfanatic poll after the dair 1st kiss.. where 100.000 people voted and Dair was winning with 60%…

      • Alison says:

I feel like more than 1192 people watch the show, though, so that shouldn’t be taken as a representation of the whole. Most people who watch Gossip Girl watch it casually, and don’t tweet about it in support of their ship all the time. These casual viewers are a lot more important in the writers and producers eyes than people engaged in a Twitter war :)

        • paula says:

You don’t think logically do you Alison. There are more casual viewers on twitter, meaning there are less casual Dair fans on twitter by a large margin, meaning they look at that and figure out pretty quickly that there aren’t that many Dair fans compared to Chair fans. It’s like polls they do for politics. They focus on a group online and see where that group leans towards. I hate having to explain things to the ignorant.

I dunno, Paula. Deal with my ignorance here for just a second – while Twitter is a way to get a feel for how people are feeling about the show, don’t you think that they are much, much more likely to pay attention to the news buzz instead? Last season, for example, had many media blogs writing positive things about the Dair storyline and negative things written about 4×20 and Chuck’s abusive actions. If I were in charge of a show, I would care a lot more about getting positive buzz out there, outside of the land of Twitter where the same ten people spam me over and over with rude messages, especially when you can’t even prove that each of your 1035 fans is actually a real person instead of just one person making multiple Twitters to jack up the numbers, which you guys have been done for polls, too…

But back to Twitter, and my total lack of logic. 1035 Chair fans on Twitter? 1.36 million fans who watched the finale? I pulled out a calculator (because there’s nothing less logical than math, so someone ignorant like me would!), and that means .07% of the total fans who watched the finale are also Chair vocalists on Twitter. .01% are Dair fans. At those small numbers, it’s not even statistically significant. And you think show producers don’t even take the other 99.92% of viewers into account? You’re right, my logic is flawed. Keep spamming them on Twitter, you’ll eventually get them to close their account. Might free up some time for you guys. Let me know what you think of this logic, though. I’d like to hear a rebuttal! :)
            xoxo

Also, when I say “casual viewers”, I absolutely do not mean people who submit their signature for a couple on Twitter, no matter what ship it’s for, Dair or Chair. Or vote on polls, or organize to cheat on polls/take over message boards/recruit others for your cause, or comment on other people’s comments on a well-known media blog. “Casual viewers” watch the show, say “hey, that was good/bad, I think I will/won’t watch next week”, and then they get. on. with. their. lives. No Twitter involved. I’m jealous of them, really, and I wish we could all take a page from their book. It’s just a show.

    • Allie says:

Age and maturity have nothing to do with which couple you prefer on a TV show. I’m 30, married, with a graduate degree, and I love Chair. Quite frankly, you should be embarrassed by the insulting generalizations in your post.

YAY, love Dair! Hope they get explored further this season.

  45. CT says:

Jeez Dan, step away from the engaged pregnant chick. Nobody likes a creeper.

    • Vicky says:

Are you kidding me? Chuck is the definition of a creeper and he SLEPT with the engaged woman and yet Dan is supposed to be a creep for having feelings for her? LOL, ok. You guys are just so transparent. I will laugh so hard if Blair is the one who’ll dream about kissing Dan.

      • CT says:

She’s got another dude’s baby INSIDE OF HER. Let’s just remember that before we root for someone to make a move on her, okay?

        • Linda says:

It’s not even confirmed that Blair is pregnant!! I see a lot of assuming, and you know what they say about assuming.. It makes an A** of me and you. How about fans actually wait until it’s shown on screen that she’s pregnant before stating it as FACT, because saying it doesn’t make it so.

  46. Lucy says:

I hope we actually get to see Dan and Blair kiss this time!

  47. Beth says:

Psyched for a THIRD Dair kiss, even if it’s ~not what it seems!

    And the community premiere, yay!

  48. Cathy says:

YAY Dair :) Excited to see what happens with Dan and Blair. They’ve really kept me watching Gossip Girl when I was ready to give up.
@Jennifer I agree with you about SVU. I’m excited, but nervious.

  49. D says:

With all the Gossip Girl comment spamming on both ends, you’d think Gossip Girl was actually a popular show.

Thanks for the Community and Nikita scoops, Ausiello.

YES! Hahahaha. Finally some sanity among all the the crazy.
I tried tuning in to GG for the series premiere, and couldn’t even sit though half the episode. It’s a joke.

I want Chuck and Blair back together. that’s all!
