Exclusive First Look: Charlie's Angels Says Halo to Erica Durance

Call it a match made in Heaven. As first reported by TVLine, Smallville alumna Erica Durance is set to guest-star on ABC’s new Charlie’s Angels this fall — and now we have a first look at her dangerously sexy covert agent in action.

Charlie’s Angels, starring Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights), Rachael Taylor (Grey’s Anatomy) and Annie Ilonzeh (General Hospital), bows a week from today. In an October episode, Durance plays Samantha Masters, a tough-as-nails, Glock-toting CIA operative who shares a romantic past with Bosley (Ramon Rodriguez).

Durance tells me that when the exes cross paths, “I wouldn’t necessarily call it a sexual tension, but there is definitely a tension there from having had a relationship before — and it’s not finished yet.”

In the scene shown above, Bosley is angling to offer back-up to his colleagues when he gets an unlikely assist. “I end up coming along for the ride, to see what the Angels are doing and how we can best help them,” explains Durance. Along the way, “There is bickering as well,” she adds with a laugh. “And then we all get into a lot of trouble!”

ABC’s new Charlie’s Angels debuts Thursday, Sept. 22, at 8/7c.

Just look at Erica Durance on that photo still! She would have made THE most perfect “Angel” either! So sad that she didn’t get one of the leads but very happy she will be guest starting. Erica Durance + kick ass should *always* be in the mix! :)

I fail to see where this new article about Erica have something to do with Tom.

  3. Johana says:

so its forbidden to talk about Tom Welling on Erica Durance’s articles now? what’s with the tabu topic suddenly? it has to say Tom Welling for fans to be allowed to talk about him and her? or just because Smallville is over we have to forget what made them famous. Erica Durance WAS on Smallville, WITH Tom Welling, and naturally people will be wondering about Tom as well since they did made an impact on an audience. I know “some” would like to forget this and act like it never happened, but its a reality.

Since when associating Welling with Durance is a tabu? their names were together for 7 years and there wasn’t a complain. Or is only OK when it benefits her, you know when they need “smallville” fans to click on something?

  4. Joy says:

This is absolutely not the subject. Yes they were on the same show, no one tries to forget that. But the article talks about HER role in Charlie’s Angels and some people seem to forget that and strictly mention Tom or even Cassidy in their comments. And that’s not what it is about.
SV fans miss all the cast for sure, but I don’t think it’s the right article to talk about it.

  5. Johana says:

But you can not control what people say or not in which article or not. It’s inevitable and will happens always, I just don’t get why the sudden dread when Tom Welling’s name is brought, and the only complain is about him, because you didn’t mention Cassidy Freeman on your original post. Nobody is stealing Erica’s thunder just because Tom Welling’s (and lets pretend Cassidy Freeman’s)name is brought in the comment section of an article, is just a natural reaction to a significant amount of time that Ms Durance and Welling (And Freeman and Rosenbaum and Kreuk and Mack) worked together
