Exclusive: Fringe's Observer Eyes CBS' Person

J.J. Abrams is temporarily dispatching Fringe‘s ubiquitous Observer to his new drama Person of Interest.

Michael Cerveris has signed on to guest star in an October episode of the CBS procedural, which stars Lost‘s Michael Emerson as a mysterious billionaire who teams up with a presumed dead ex-CIA agent (James Caviezel) to prevent violent crimes.

Cerveris will play Jarek Koska, a highly organized and educated new breed of gang leader. Koska is an innovator, an entrepreneur — imagine Steve Jobs running MS-13. But for all that ruthless intelligence, he’s not above solving problems with brutal force.

P.O.I. premieres Sept. 22 at 9/8c.

Gee, the observers really are EVERYWHERE – even CBS! =D

I adore Michael Cerveris. He will forever be Sweeney Todd to me.

  5. Cloudy Knight says:

THE Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of Fleet Street?

    • “Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd. He served a dark and a vengeful god. What happened then, well that’s the play, and he wouldn’t want us to give it awaaaaaay…” – YESSSSSSSSS!!!! :)

  6. DL says:

Michael Cerveris is one cool dude. I auditioned for him once years ago when I was at NYU. He was really nice, really down-to-earth.

  7. Teresa says:

it was really weir seeing him in Treme in one episode.

MICHAEL CERVERIS! I will support anything that man is in. My two favorite roles of his are arguably despicable people (John Wilkes Booth and Sweeney Todd) but he plays them so deliciously and so humanly. Forever the best.
