Ultimate Law-Enforcement Crushes Bracket Tournament: Who Deserves an Invite?

If you’ve ever gotten weak in the knees watching a TV character in a Kevlar vest and gun holster, you won’t want to stray far from TVLine.com during the month of September. As summer winds down, we’ll be launching the Ultimate Law-Enforcement Crushes Bracket Tournament, a 64-player battle to determine who is TV’s most desirable crime-fighter. But before we kick things off, we need your help: Our tournament will include cops, detectives, crime-scene investigators, military police, FBI and CIA agents of the male and female variety — and we’ll be including series both past and present (so fans of The X Files, Alias, and NYPD Blue will have just as much reason to get excited as Bones, NCIS, and Rizzoli & Isles aficionados).

So head on down to the comments and tell us which law-enforcement hotties deserve a spot in our lineup. We’ll peruse all your nominations, then narrow it down to the 32 men and 32 women who serve up justice with a heaping side order of sexy. And for up-to-the-minute alerts on each of our single-elimination showdowns, follow me on Twitter @MichaelSlezakTV!

Now, ready, set, brainstorm!

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

    Ziva David- NCIS
Olivia Benson- Law and Order: SVU

    • Sam says:

If you like Annie Walker you should check out Alias with Sydney Bristow. That’s who Annie is based on… >_>

Jack Bristow, Sydney Bristow, Michael Vaughn (Alias)
Grissom, Willows, Sidle, Warrick, Stokes (CSI)
      Gibbs, Tony, Ziva, Kate (NCIS)

    Michael Weston (Burn Notice)
    Seeley Booth (Bones)

  6. Nick says:

Don’t forget about Neal Caffery, Peter Burke, Catherine Willows, & Andy McNally!

    • er says:

Caffrey is a thief not a cop.

      • DL says:

Technically he’s an “FBI consultant.” He should probably be eligible considering he’s the main character on a crime-solving show, the same way Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster from Psych should be eligible.

        • er says:

Not according to Michael’s list above.

          • jm5 says:

Caffrey should be eligible as FBI consultant, since Michael’s list doesn’t prohibit that (sure, it says FBI agents, but…let’s be inclusive. After all, ruling out Neal would also rule out people like Patrick Jane from the Mentalist, as he’s not technically an agent, and Fiona from Burn Notice, since she’s also not an agent, and even Temperance Brennen of Bones, since she’s a consultant from the Jeffersonian, not an FBI agent).

Additionally, Shawn and Gus from Psych are technically psychic detectives, thus making them eligible under the category of detective (no delineation was made for type of detective).

    Sarah Walker (Chuck)
    Chuck (Chuck)
    Kate Beckett (Castle)
    Kevin Ryan (Castle)

    Jim Rockford
    Sonny Crockett

And I’m drawing a blank on just about everything old school except Jim Street from SWAT (had to look that one up though) :p

  17. NineDaves says:

You gotta give some love for Lydia Adams from Southland! She might not have the fan-base behind her to beat out the Chuck/X-Files/Fringe crowd, but if it were on the street, I have a feeling she’d kick their asses!

    veronica mars

    • Cameron says:

If she’s eligible, she should totally make the list.

Also another kinda iffy one, Aeryn Sun from Farscape. A Peacekeeper is kinda like a cop right?

    • Kneef says:

I’m seconding this. According to the “season four” hopeful movie pilot, Veronica joining the FBI out of college is canon, so she totally counts.

    • Megan says:

Great addition!! She was essentially a private detective which should definitely count, regardless of her FBI aspirations at the end of the series.

  26. wmcc520 says:

    Forgot the most important one:

    LENNY BRISCOE…..BEST COP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. Sally says:

    X-files: Mulder and Scully
JAG: Harm Rabb, Jr. and Sarah ‘Mac’ MacKenzie

  28. CB says:

  45. Dakota Crane says:

    Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) CSI

Kara “Starbuck” Thrace (Battlestar: Galactica) – military probably doesn’t count does it…
Mary Shannon – In Plain Sight

  49. Wendy says:

Along with Booth of Bones, if helpers/partners are accepted (as I see many votes for Rick Castle here!), I think Dr. Temperance Brennan should also be included. She IS Booth’s “partner”, as they always say. :-)

  50. M says:

I support any an all nominations from Alias. Sydney Bristow and Michael Vaughn all the way! Oh, and Beckett/Castle from Castle.

    • Debbie says:

I completely agree with any nominations for Sydney Bristow and Michael Vaughn. Beckett/Castle; and the Cast of Hawaii Five-0. I’d also throw love to Jack Bauer (24), and Danny, Jamie, Frank, and Erin Reagan (Blue Bloods).
