Fall TV Preview

First Look: Fox's Allen Gregory Takes Jonah Hill, Will Forte Back to School

What do you get when you take a wise-beyond-his-years, pretentious seven-year-old who’s pals with Sandra Bullock and banish him to public education after years of home schooling? That’s the premise of Fox’s new animated comedy Allen Gregory, featuring the voice of Jonah Hill, who also co-wrote the script.

In the first look below, Hill and the rest of the show’s famous voice cast — Will Forte, French Stewart, etc. — talk about playing with the “delusional” tyke in the “bonkers” ‘toon. It’s all a pinch-me moment for Hill, who’s in awe of both his talented ensemble and iconic lead-in, The Simpsons.

Allen Gregory premieres Oct. 30 at 8:30/7:30c on Fox.

I don’t think it’s going to be as funny as Bob’s Burgers (that one was a pleasant surprise), but it sure as hell looks better than Napoleon Dynamite. That one just looks like a complete trainwreck.

  2. Dave says:

So, is this why Treehouse of Horror is on time this year? So it can have the strongest lead-in of the year? I am all for it. I will give it a try, because I love Jonah.

Very (very, very) tired of clips not being able to be viewed from outside the USofA.

As am I, but I read from someone on Twitter that it’s the fault of the networks, not the web sites that put up the videos. So maybe we need to organize letters/emails to CBS, FOX and all of them.

      • MissM13 says:

I realize it might be the networks’ fault, but sites like this is a link from the networks to us.
They must talk a lot more than we do!
I feel it falls onto their responsibility. As childish as it might seem!…

So many animated series on FOX..Bob’s Burgers,Family Guy,and this looks decent, thats all they need. Enough with the Simpsons its 25 years old, they should remove it and the cleavland show and bring back Lie To Me in their places.
