Scoop: Criminal Minds High On Weeds Star

Weeds‘ Andy Milder has booked what is sure to be a memorable guest stint on Criminal Minds.

The actor will play a mentally challenged man named Cy who figures into one of the creepier cases the BAU team has faced — and that’s saying something. (Hint: The perp-of-the-week robs his/her victims of something very unusual.)

In addition to Weeds, Milder currently recurs on Parks and Recreation (as Snakehole Lounge owner Freddy) and The Middle (as Principal Sholin).

The episode also features a guest turn by Boardwalk Empire‘s Tracy Middendorf.

Minds‘ seventh season kicks off Sept. 21.

  • Sounds like this is going to be extremely similar to Fringe’s “Gray Matters” episode.

  • Sounds interesting, but I hope the focus this season remains primarily on the team. Last season had way too many unsub-centric episodes and it felt like the show shifted from being a psychological thriller to being torture porn.

    • So true! I stopped watching because the crimes were getting increasingly sadistic and ugly, but I caught the last few episodes to see Prentiss’ departure. Now I guess I’ll have to catch a few to see her return! But unless the content gets less gruesome, I won’t be watching long.

  • I’m not familiar with this actor and I’m not sure what episode he will guest star on. It sounds like it might be interesting. I think CM is going to be really good this season and I’m really looking forward to it!
